Everybody keep calm !
It’s FiFi’s winter wardrobe checklist.
A fool proof list of key pieces you need: whatever age or shape.
Just add jeans here and long boots here and you’re good to go.
Now go forth and live your best life !

A long oversized coat: It should be long, long and longer. It should be big. It should be in taupe or brown or khaki. It can be a trench or it can be a camel coat ( see here). Why? Because a lighter coat will ADD vava voom and lighten everything. It needs to make a statement. Go XL in cheaper brands: it looks expensive!
Black leather pants: They inject instant groove. Look great with heels or sneakers. Perfect for weekends or dinner out. Oh and they don’t need ironing.
Slouchy sweater: Remember white next to your face takes years off. Thank you ! A white/cream/taupe sweater might be all you need to joosh up your old winter wardrobe. Don’t automatically reach for the black knit, it only looks good under a black coat. Your default should be a lighter coloured knit under everything.
Wide leg white jeans: My motto? If in doubt put on white jeans. They can be straight or wide leg just make sure they sit high on the waist. Then tuck everything in. They will automatically update all your knits.
A hoodie: it can be white , it can be taupe, it can be in a knit. But it looks cool and casual. Pull out hood over your coat.
An oversized blazer in brown or camel: It’s the handy piece that will take you through to spring. It will lighten your wardrobe of black pants and denim jeans. Wear over a white tee or let it sit on your shoulders if your sweater is too slouchy.
Khaki chinos: Want to replace your black pants? Don’t want to do jeans? Feel you need the coverage of a darker colour then khaki chinos are the way to go. They look equally good with black or all the neutrals lurking in your closet. They look great with heels or sneakers.
A tan bag: Please buy one. It’s imperative to lighten up your wardrobe. Lots on the SHOP pages. It can be big or small, a tote or a cross body. Suddenly a black bag seems to drag everything down. Not wrong just not right !
Shoes: you want sneakers that are white but I’m loving the multi colour tan/brown trainers at the moment: give great bang for the buck. Add instant joosh. Link it all together. And then you need long boots – see here. You can wear under wide pants or jeans.
Hint: if you can’t fit your boots under your jeans then your jeans are dated and too skinny and need to go into lockdown !
