Steal my style : all the new pieces I’ve added to my wardrobe !
A new season means the excitement of a few (many!) new pieces in your wardrobe !
An injection of new pieces means your current wardrobe can extend its life and can get an instant joosh.
Because when you update with statement items then everything else suddenly looks cool.
Here are all the pieces I’ve added to my wardrobe : in no particular order .
Some gifted ( lucky me !) but whether gifted or not you must know that I put a lot of thought into what will fit into my wardrobe, what works with my lifestyle and what YOU my friends will love ! And as you can see I have worn many of the pieces in different ways and repeated items. Which is what you want your wardrobe to do right?
Some on sale, some maybe sold out so I have offered alternatives.
Hopefully this will help you shop , avoid making any mistakes and guide you so you build a wardrobe that you love.

This cotton slouchy knit
There are so many ways to wear it ! I think it actually goes with every single thing ( almost !) in my spring wardrobe.
Seems whatever bottoms I put on: this knit just works. From jeans to slouchy pants, cargos and shorts. Something for spring and on chilly summer nights. I wear a medium.
Wear with : with all the bottoms below , with your white jeans or Lululemon pants.

Cotton Khaki barrel Pants
So good for casual summer weekends ( or your every day life!). They’re drawstring, cotton, a cool barrel cut. Love the khaki but they’re also great in red and white. Just the pant you need to pull on and look instantly cool.
Wear with : brown heels or white flats. With the slouchy knit, a white tee, or short crop jacket (see below). Love with a khaki tee like this or like this. Oh and I have this blazer (photo coming !) and it’s so good ! Great for spring, I like the way they have styled it with the red barrel pants.

Red barrel jeans
Yes, it’s me in red jeans ! Who da thunk ?! The point is : I have an aversion to KOOKY colours rather than chic colours like red. The times are a changing : what feels new is the idea of camel and neutrals back with red: so chic. I think red jeans with white is so fresh as well. I must confess that red jeans are about as much colour as I will ever do. So don’t be afraid the real FiFi is still here lols.
Wear with: any white shirt ( see below) a white shoulder pad tee or a camel Tee or blazer.

A white shirt
This is a winner. What I call a stand alone shirt. It makes a statement. Love the funnel high neckline but you can wear it undone. Love sleeves, not too puffy but still have volume. Love the length as you can wear out or tuck in. A white shirt has to have SOMETHING otherwise it’s so boring. I’m falling asleep now thinking about a tight white non de le non shirt haha
Wear with: Any red jeans, with blue jeans, with the Dissh pants or any shorts. Under a blazer .

A white frill shirt
This is the same : it’s a statement shirt that looks great on its own. It doesn’t need a jacket to look good. Love the collarless frill (about as much frill as I will do let’s be honest ) and the interesting seam detailing. It’s very long so I have wrapped it across so I can tuck it in. It’s a a good smart casual option I think.
Wear with (old) black barrel jeans , with red jeans, with leather shorts. Obviously with blue jeans and chinos.

Cool cargo pants
These are so farshun. LOVE them . They are an instant wardrobe updater. Meaning? Toss back with any old white tee , white shirt or blazer and suddenly everything will look cool. Especially with white mules right? Of course NOT worth spending too much on cargo pants as they are a fun item that may not go the distance next year.
Wear with: a slouchy knit, a white shirt, any white tee, with white heels. And these are also fab, not so cargo.

Blouson/ shirt jacket
How good is this shirt? It’s really like an evening bomber jacket because of the fabric and the chic colour. A shirt disguised as a bomber. You can wear with nothing underneath or over a white tank. It’s the perfect smart casual shirt. Baggy (so it skims over the situation) big full sleeves, a light fabric so you can wear into summer. Oh, it has pockets!
Wear with : your favourite dark denim jeans, with white barrel pants , with blue jeans and of course bermudas.

White denim culottes shorts
They’re like white jeans but shorter. As you know I have been a big fan of Bermuda shorts and this summer they are peaking. Don’t worry you will wear into summer too. These are a great fit and good fabric. A cool alternative to a skirt.
Wear with : Love with heels. Dresses them up. Toss with a short camel jacket , a simple white tee or tank, with the Dissh knit or with a blue shirt.

Camel shorts .
Speaking of bermudas : I nabbed these as well. They are the sister shorts to the miracle Uniqlo barrel leg pants , incredible cut and the perfect length. I went up a size so they sit lower. I’ve already invested in choc brown and slouchy white bermudas so I knew that the camel/beige was the missing link, I will live in these !
Wear with: Heels ! And as above , all the usual suspects, a white tee, white shirt, brown knits, a red stripe tee.

Brown leather shorts
And while we are on the subject of shorts. I nabbed these pleather shorts at the start of the season and they are great. Leather shorts do the same thing as leather pants ( add edge/look cool) but feel more summery. Also if you haven’t noticed I have been wearing leather shorts for years now …a big part of the FiFi wardrobe. Good for smart casual .
Wear with the Lululemon tee, On sale ! with a frill white shirt, with any white top and camel blazer. With heels.

Crop camel jacket on sale
This is the a good summery jacket : a good alternative to the bomber. (Sometimes the elastic hem on a bomber be tricky to wear undone). Anyway I am having a short jacket moment and this fits the bill, casual but chic. The quality of this brand called ‘& other stories’ is great ( it’s a sister brand to Arket and you know how LOVE it and both available now on THEICONIC). The cut is oversized so you could size down though I love the roomy look.
Wear with: Everything ! Haha blue jeans , with white shorts, with white chinos, a skirt.
White Tee shirt: on sale
They call it a crop tee but actually it’s a great length : you can wear it hanging out or tuck it in. Great cotton, not see through, a sturdy fabric so it’s not too floppy and the sleeves are good too. The neckline is FiFi approved.
Note: V neck tee shirts and V neck knits are lurking on the groove horizon but a round neckline is still so right. I got medium.

A slouchy brown tee.
This is such a handy top that will work with all your browns and tans. Love it with white too. I’ve put in shoulder pads and I love it ! A lovely fabric and those sleeves are loose and a good length. Go down a size it’s long.
Wear with : a brown pencil skirt. With slouchy jeans and white shorts. All your browns.

The reversible trench Zara on sale !
HAD to include this as I LOVE it so much. Note: I am seeing a lot of these check car coats arriving instore and online for this European autumn. It’s an item du hour . Invest now early in the trend . Is it bad to say I wish it would rain?? lols. Wear with : over a white tee or knit, with brown pants, blue jeans and a pencil skirt.

Shoes are everything ! Will instantly update all your current pieces . Have you invested in white shoes yet? Once you do there is no going back right? Agree or what?! I have nabbed a few other shoes because I really really NEED them haha.

White pointy flats:
If you need white flats these are so comfortable. Where a round toe flat might look too classic the pointy toe adds edge.
Red sandals
Love these so much ! I thought about taking them back. I have too many shoes ( said no one ever!) but then I thought do I have red patent sandals ? No, I do not ! HAD to have them. The thing is : that touch of red in a shoe will instantly update everything. Not joking. There are similar here
Wear with : white ! Your read stripe tee, and with all camels and browns . So good !
Tan thong heels.
Lived in these from the day I got them . SO comfortable. Great colour. Perfect heel height. Wear with everything.
Brown sandals
Back in stock ! I grabbed these because they are good for summer casual evenings where any higher heel looks too jooshy. Especially good for a beach holiday where the low heel just gives a little height but you still look effortless.
A brown leather woven bag:
What I love about this bag is that it is so casual yet totally chic. Perfect for a low key Sydney summer . Love it.
Red and brown thongs
I have never worn thongs in my life . OMG but I nabbed these because I am quite frankly a fashion victim haha. Such a ridiculous price and I love touch of red and then I saw them brown. SO I got both. I have yet to actually wear them. I might chicken out lols. But I am thinking for summer holidays they could be good. I will never ever wear thongs anywhere except the beach. YOU too …ok?! I usually wear these white Birkenstocks .
A straw basket bag
While are we talking casual bags ( and beach dressing )( more on that later next month ) this is the kind of bag you can carry during the day with jeans and brown mules and also take to the beach.
