Need Now: Khaki. Green. Olive. Cargo. Yes, so totally chic for summer.

Khaki. Olive. Dirty brown. Call it what you like, you might even call it green !
The thing is khaki is just as versatile as camel.
You could almost call it a neutral. You could almost call it a colour. ( what?!) This is good !
Meaning ?
It is not same old, same old neutrals bursting from your wardrobe. And it’s not boring black.
But it’s NOT a kooky colour either that is way too hard to style. And never looks expensive.

I know some FiFi Followers think that neutrals don’t suit them.
That beige, camel and taupe wash them out or something ridiculous.
( what?! Who ARE you !!)( You will come around haha)

So Olive and khaki is for you !

It’s the alternative to camel.
And it is also for those who want to add some colour but not COLOUR (!) to their wardrobe.
It’s a handy little shade that will work wonders in your wardrobe.
Use it as a third colour to break up black and white.
Wear it with white. Add it to camel and brown.
Watch the miracle as you add a soupcon of khaki to your wardrobe ( might be a shoe or bag or even just sweater on your shoulders) and voila ! Suddenly you look interesting and stylish and fashionable. Phew.
It’s the best way to reinvigorate your summer wardrobe and give it a bit of life and a fashion edge!

HOW TO STYLE IT?

Wear it tone on tone. Layer on layer. Head to toe.  Or just a dollop.
A khaki shirt with khaki shorts , a khaki tee with a cargo skirt.
But in my opinion the best way to wear it?
Add white to khaki !
These two colours are having a little love affair.
Try a khaki skirt with a white tee.
Pull on white jeans with a khaki cotton shirt.
Khaki Birks with a white maxi dress.
A khaki crop jacket over a white tee and denim skirt.
You see?! Now that makes sense right ?
It’s fresh, it’s chic, it’s summery.
Grab white heels or white loafers ( cool sneakers are great too but you know that.)
Maybe a white bag or belt and instantly Khaki/ olive looks chic and totally right in summmer.
It’s easy when you think about it.
Of course it goes without saying that tan and choc brown also love khaki :
And that light blue shirt you have? It will be very happy to go out with khaki pants Yes; you just doubled your outfits!
Oh and olive, with a that a little touch of orange? Now, you’re talking !

Remember the FiFi pholisophy :
Update to modern shapes and styling .
You’re getting the drama and fashion edge from exaggerated new silhouettes (NOT from pesky prints, kooky colours or from frumpy florals). Which means that you want to go for new shapes like an khaki jacket that is short with a funnel neck, an oversized khaki blazer, olive pants that are balloon shape, a shirt that has BIG sleeves or a khaki skirt that is wrap, midi or full.

Here are my picks of the best pieces ( so many!) I’ve found in olive and Khaki below.
