Need now: My favourite pieces I am wearing on repeat this season !
It’s a little chilly maybe not yet freezing cold : I say any excuse to wear new season clothes !
These are the ten ( actually make that 20 !) items I have been loving and wearing this season on repeat .
You may have already nabbed a few of them so you know I highly recommend any of these pieces.
( note: If any are sold out I have added a very good alternative !).
Dark denim barrel jeans:
Loving the idea of dark denim: they are a bit dressier than your light blue jeans but just as casual . A solution to the smart casual dilemma : just throw on dark denim with a kitten heel, a pretty blouse or chic jacket. Done !
Of course totally casual with loafers and a slouchy knit. Barrel jeans are the new normal and a nice change from wide leg don’t you think? Love these Neuw dark denim , they’re the best ! I got a size 30 and these GiGi Rollas in a size 30.
The light blue Rollas I got in size 31. Nothing like a new shape jean to instantly update ALL your jackets! These are great too. Always go up a size so they sit lower and looser. See more here
While we are talking jeans I have lived in brown denim jeans since last winter , and in summer too. These are very similar and look great ( a good wash ) from H&M. Note they call them “ wide regular jeans” but last season they were called barrel leg. Now barrel leg are regular/normal for anyone asking about the longevity of this shape.

A Bomber jacket :
A nice change from a blazer. When you want a jacket that is shorter. When you want a jacket that is casual yet fashiony.
When you want a jacket that will work with a skirt, jeans AND tailored Pants. Love a bomber jacket with a funnel neck . Hint: they look better when they are done up, with the waist band sitting on the hips like this. Which is why this jacket with a waist is a fabulous! (I have it on my Zara wishlist ). Wear over a white tee or fine knit. A bomber can be brown or camel or try a leather bomber jacket. Love this brown bomber , I wear size 12, this camel bomber I wear in size 12 and this leather jacket I got in a size large. Oh and this is so great for a lighter sporty bomber I got large .

A slouchy knit:
I have been wearing this neutral cotton knit ( 0n sale !) since last summer and it’s one of those slouchy knits that looks polished yet casual. I wear size small as it’s huge. Great with white jeans or with jeans. It goes with everything summer to winter. (Wore it just this week in Noosa with white jeans). This is gorgeous too ! Adore! Also been living in this divine brown knit , ( ON SALE!)that is just handy to wear under brown coats and bomber jackets. Looks chic on its own as it is a bit shorter. This cashmere knit is GORGEOUS and such a great cut. I got it in size 12. If you need neater/underneath layering knits then the mens cashmere at Uniqlo are superb. I wear medium or large.

Uniqlo Barrel leg pants :
You can’t stop at one right? I have one in each colour : then I saw the choc brown and had to stop myself. Haha. Why are they so fab? They fit so well. I would call them flattering. And when I say flattering I mean that in the true sense of the word in that they are slimming ( which is not the end game !). Sit high but don’t cut you in two. Sit flat across “the situation.” Baggy in the leg but not overwhelming. Best of all they are so damn comfortable. Oh and they wash so well you don’t really need to iron. Wear with flats, wear with heels, wear with a chic blazer or casual bomber. Wear to dinner , on the plane, every day on your holiday ! I wear size large. What more do you want for $59? Miracle pants!

It’s coat that’s more trench than coat ! I love this coat so much ( and it’s on sale !) and this gorgeous one ! It’s that hybrid style of outerwear not a winter wool coat, not exactly a trench, more of a melange of both. It’s the (not so) subtle check that makes it different and more exciting than a garden variety trench. I love to wear it with jeans and flats/with heels and a chic neat knit. Wear it nonchalantly sitting on your shoulders or tied up and belted. Toss it over all white tee with leather pants or even casually over your leggins . ( these are the best). I got size small in the Frankie SHOP as it’s huge. If you want more of a serious winter coat then this is THE ONE.
ANd if I needed another trench I’d buy faaabulous one ! Such a great (non!) colour. Please stop me buying it lols.

A short sleeve knit tee:
I love a short sleeve knit . It’s very good to wear in this mild winter right? Great for travel too. Ideal to just throw under a coat or a blazer, like a winter tee, casual and easy and a little warmer than a cotton tee. I have several sleeveless or short sleeve knits : This one is fabulous from Zara, but it’s pretty slouchy so go down a size if you want neat. (This is excellent from Assemblylabel ). Still wearing this one alot from a few seasons ago at Frankie shop, this grey one is a winner also with shoulder pads. I got size large. Best thing about a knit tee ? Doesn’t really need ironing !

(P)Leather pants:
I’v been LIVING in pleather pants every winter for many years now. PIVOTAL to your winter wardrobe. A little dressier than jeans , and they add a bit of interest/ texture . Which is great when a pair of plain black or brown pants can look a bit snoozefest, leather adds a fashion edge and looks cool. I have worn these brown leather pants so many times. Love with a grey knit, with a brown jacket , with a blazer. Great casually with sneakers on weekends or with white heels going out for dinner. These are great , and these are fab too. Spied these in store IRL at Zara and they looked great !
If you want real leather these are the best.

I have been banging on about a brown suede bag for a few seasons now and I love the casualness of the hobo slouchy bag in brown suede. I alternate between the Arket slouchy bag ( which I took to Europe 2 years ago) and the new updated one which sits a little flatter against the body. It doesn’t have a zip so not good for travel OS but fabulous for every day in Sydney. If you want a zip slouchy brown suede bag for travel ( hint you do!)( chic in summer!) then this is really good.

My fav shoes:
The white Aeyde kitten heels are so comfortable and soft, worth the price! Also love these Brown kitten Heels from Zara when I want to do a total brown look as an alternative to white, and they are spongy and easy to wear , comfortable for every day . If you want a brown pump then I’d go for these or these . Same with these White loafers from Zara: I put them on and skip out the door ! Love !

And I can’t live without my favourite YSL belts. They elevate any outfit. You can wear with anything anywhere. Literally! I wear my dark brown YSL belt most days with with jeans casually, then out to dinner, to the theater . Summer to winter. Worth investing in.

One last thing: Looks like I have chosen all pants here but if I want to wear a skirt then I love a pleather A line skirt in brown or black or this brown pencil skirt is a winner – I got size 3. ( and got it taken up a little)

Get shopping ! Hope that’s helpful , have a great weekend.
