What’s on my own personal wishlist this week?
As a full time shopper – let’s face it – I see a lot of things !
So this week I have decided just to share what I am lusting after, what I am buying, what I have bought.
Rather than a theme or occasion, a colour, or an item du jour, these are just the BEST pieces I have spied and want to share. At every price…
Though I chose them without an actual theme, it seems by default there is a colour theme : what a surprise !
And you can guess what it is: Camel, brow, beige and white.
But you know there is a method to the madness : I know I will get great cost per wear because all of these pieces will slot so easily straight into my wardrobe. And yours too.
Trying to be a conscious consumer is not easy.
That’s why it’s important to follow the FiFi Philosophies.
That’s how you get great mileage from your purchases and build a wardrobe.
Think about what you’re buying, the ways you can wear it, is it versatile?
Remember to invest early in a trend.
Stick to classics colours but make sure they are in updated new modern shapes.
Apply table top dressing ( don’t waist your money on things not seen under the table).
Use designer bags and shoes and belts to elevate your wardrobe.

I am always on the hunt for that smart casual top that I can wear with jeans, chinos or black pants. This is fabulous because it’s dramatic yet soft. Love the colour too. And you get a bit of muffin arm coverage ( which I appreciate !) with the cap sleeves .That chic scarf detail means you can drape it around your neck for a bit of a joosh or just let it hang. Love the styling here: exactly how I will wear it going out with earrings or wear it out for lunch with chinos and flats.

I am obsessed with white shoes and really don’t wear any other colour at the moment: Maybe silver. sometimes black. That’s because white shoes are instant wardrobe updaters. Love a loafer. You will wear into next season. With jeans and A line skirts. With chinos and camel pants. Love these ones as they have a pointy toe. In a creamy white rather than bright white. Barrel jeans: Watch as the new shape jeans will instantly change your life ! I can’t take them off. Comfortable and chic. This shape skims over the lumps and bumps if you think you might like that ( I do !). Barrel jeans are generally shorter so look great in summer with white shoes, ballet flats, and sneakers. Love these jeans as they are not tooooo wide and exaggerated but still have some fashion edge. So good for smart casual with a sexy heel, a chic blazer ( I have my eye on this !) and a pretty top ( see above) BUY here

The Barn Jacket : It’s the new shape jacket in town. Invest now. Not a blazer. Not a cropped trench. But works just as well. I think this one from Everlane is great as it has a chic suede collar ( rather than cord) and the colour ( obvs) is FiFi approved. Plus it is in a cool canvas fabric which means you can wear in summer over a white tank or in winter over a knit. Wear now with white jeans and sandals. The designer belt: I have ordered this YSL belt from Netaporter. It’s a great colour . Suede is the hot fabric du jour. It’s not too big so won’t over take your outfit but just quietly elevate your jeans or white denim skirt. I will wear this casually every day even with denim Bermudas. And of course with everything else in my wardrobe ! It’s just so chic . BUY Here.

The cotton chinos : A huge part of my wardrobe. I have a few wide leg pairs from Uniqlo that I have thrashed and washed from wearing so much ! I need an update to something chicer and these are fabulous. Why? Because chinos need to be in a cotton with a bit of texture. Yes, I have many slouchy camel pants in a dressy fabric but there is something about the cotton that means them look casual and just so cool. They are the replacement for jeans. Wear on a picnic or to breakfast in bondi with flat sandals and you look so right. But I will wear with heels and dangly earring and a chic top say to a BBQ where you don’t want to look tooooo done. A great colour and a fab slouchy cut too.

You know you need a white skirt for summer ( see heresee here) First seen on the Prada catwalk and that’s good enough for me!
SO I have been on the hunt ! This one is great as it is not too flimsy, in a lustrous fabric and you could wear like this with a blazer and bra ( You could ! I won’t ..haha). But I will wear with a black cutaway tank and flat black sandals. Or with a white shoulder pad tee ( here back in stock at ZARAZARA) and with tan accessories. I’ll get a size bigger so it sits lower. Love a casual jacket. Love a shorter jacket. Loving a utility jacket. They are casual and chic. Wear with white skirt and flats. Wear over a white tee with high waist jeans. You can wear this right into next season. With leather pants and a knit. This is the kind of jacket you can wear out to dinner and you don’t need take it off. Like a cardigan but chicer. SO I have a lot of blue shirts but there is something about this one as it is collarless. It’s a great cut. A big slouchy but not overwhelming. The price is great. Those cuffs ! Add to cart . You need a blue shirt because it loves camel and white.

These flat sandals: Shiny, brown and groovy ! Oh and did I mention comfortable. So perfect with everything right here. A little bit chicer than plain ol Birkenstocks. This is such a great bag. The raffia tote is a hot trend and the best way to get a bit of texture into your every day outfits. Love that slouchy Hobo style: I bought one almost exactly the same in a French market in Provence ! It’s just a great piece to wear on weekends with jeans or white chinos or a summer dress. Definitely for the beach holiday as well. BUY here.

How good are these brown denim jeans? I have not seen many like this and I love. The brown is the sophisticated colour du jour and the denim adds a casual touch. Instant joosh. A fantastic alternative to chinos or jeans but seem a little but chicer don’t you think? That slouchy cut and the white stitching : yes, please ! Last but not least: this divine Toteme bag is the next bag on my most WANTED list. The best colour. Not too big or small. You wear on your shoulder or in your crook of your elbow. It’s not too glitzy but has enough hardware to add a touch of luxe. It’s a great price in the world of designer bags. I will wear in summer and then of course in winter. All year.
