What to wear on Zoom? Puff sleeve tops. Of course! #luxetoless

Every week I have a little ponder :
What do we really want to wear?
The FiFi Report is not a fashion magazine with photos of dreamy pieces to wear in a few seasons time.
My aim is to find pieces that you want to buy. Right now
Things you want to wear right now.
That you didn’t even know you needed.
So this week I have tracked down the best puff sleeve top (and a few chic blouses).
Why?
Because in these days of Zoom and staying at home it’s all about table top dressing.
And that’s one of the FiFi philosophies:
It means dressing with the focus on top of the body ( from the table top up) .
Don’t invest in silly pieces that draw attention to your legs ( god forbid )
It’s a waste : because you will be hiding said standout piece …under the table.
Switch it round baby!
Wear a statement piece on the top of the body.
Where people are looking.
And invest in the basics on the bottom.
Which bring us to this week’s item du jour:

What’s not to love about a puff sleeve top?
They’re a tee shirt only crunchier !
The puff sleeves make it more exciting than a boring ol tee.
The puff sleeves make a statement. This is good.
The puff sleeves hide your fluffy muffin arms. This is excellent.
The puff sleeves are just perfect for trans seasonal weather ( a sleeveless top is too summery).
And the puff sleeves means that the top is usually in sturdier less clingy fabric. This is a miracle.

Go for the expensive colours, maybe a stripe or two.
Blue is chic, white is always fabulous and black is OK if you wear it with denim or white.

How to wear?
Toss these chic tops with jeans, chinos or leather pants.
Tuck it in or just let it hang out over your pants.
(high waist jeans means there is no chance of a scary midriff exposure)
Hint: Those big sleeves means this is not a layering piece.
You can’t throw a blazer over those big voluminous sleeves.
It’s a statement top.
