Leather pants.
Or should I say pleather.
It’s what I reach for time and again. And again.
If you follow me on SHOPwithFiFi you know what I am talking about it.
I have in all the best colours: black, dark green, camel and brown.
In every shape: wide leg, shorts, culottes, jeans and leggings.
(and throw in a pleather skirt or two!)
It’s official: Leather pants are my uniform.
Nothing wrong with that. Means I know my style.
What’s not to love?
Leather adds a little edge to your look.
Adds texture so black looks cool instead of non de la non.
You can wear all black without looking boring.
Oh and did I mention…
Totally comfortable.
No need of ironing.
Best of all: Totally easy to clean (I am a dufus who spills everything!)
Styling tips:
- Keep leather baggy and slouchy, tight = tacky (except leggings).
- Stick to one piece of leather, it can get too Las Vegas head to toe.
- Toss on lots of volume on top when wearing tight leggings.
- Don’t worry about different textures: it’s good to mix wool, silk, cotton with leather.
- Stick to dark colours: white leather will be scary unless you are Giselle.
- Add white boots, white mules, white sneakers to lighten it up.
- Or keep the colours the same as the pants and add black boots.
- When in doubt add a long big oversized coat and you’re out the door!
I have hunted down the best pleather pants, shorts and leggings from less to less.
Now you can steal my style
