Need it now ! Cable knit sweaters #Luxetoless.
Here’s the thing I love about being a fashion editor:
You learn to predict what’s coming next.
It’s osmosis !
You sniff out a trend, a look, a must have when it first lurks on the groove horizon.
The good news?
It means on The FiFi Report you hear about it – and can shop it – at the beginning of a trend.
Most importantly you get seasons of wear before the trend gets to saturation point.
And drifts away.
Case in point: 2 years ago I was ranting and raving about the cable knit sweater.
( read here : all the pieces you could still wear now).
Now this sweater is reaching what I call the plateau of groove.
If you’ve had 2 years out of your gorgeous cream cable sweater then I suggest now you grab a sweater in a navy or grey. Or another in cream.
It should be chunky, slouchy and a little oversized. It’s worth ordering a size bigger.
How to wear it?
Check out the street style shots ( some from 2 years ago!) and you can see it’s about tossing the sweater with denim jeans, flares or white jeans.
Try with a flirty skirt , a metallic skirt or a frou frou skirt. With heels!
It’s all about layering. Over a shirt. Under a coat.
Remember navy looks fabulous with black.
The only thing to worry about?
Climate change and the freakin Sydney hot weather !
