Eight easy black summer dresses. #Effortless.

What: A black dress.
Which: It should be long, over the knee or longer. It could be halter, sleeveless or have one sexy shoulder.It might be a 90’s style slip dress. It could even be a jumpsuit. I snuck two in ! Major Criteria? It needs to hang loose and easy. Have an air of nonchalance.
Why: Because it’s all you need for low key summer evenings. Wherever you are. Beach to city to country. Because suddenly a short tight black dress looks wrong. Soz. Please don’t cry. These long loose dresses mean you can breathe out, eat all those canapes and feel summery and breezy. It’s effortless.
Wear: LOVE these long dresses with flat black sandals ( SHOP my favourites here).  Flat tan sandals are also fabulous. And of course white flats – from birkenstocks to laceups brogues to gladiators – are totes perfect.
What doesn’t work? Please no heels with these black over the knee dresses. Wedges work but spindly stillettos are no go zone.
