Loving a bomber jacket at the moment !
Why ?
It feels newer than a blazer ( though still love !)
And as it‘s shorter it works with all high waist pants and skirts.
because it creates shape and gives an illusion (!) of a waist.
Fake it to you make it I say. Haha.
Which is why I nabbed this fabulous quilted jacket at lululemon
I absolutely love it !
- The colour : it’ a delicious olive khaki with a hint of brown that is soooo chic.
(IRL it’s actually more olive than the brown in the product photo)(This is good!) - It’s lightweight but 900 downfill so it’s snug , warm but doesn’t weigh you down.
- Light enough to layer easily under a coat if you need to.
- It zips up to a cool funnel neck ( so right this season) ( and warm)
- The sleeves are curved and voluminous which give it a fashion edge.
- Love the elastic cuffs and hem ( means you can tuck it under to sit on the waist)
- The colour of the zip matches the jacket ( so irksome when it is brassy right?)
- The best thing is that it is so light it will pack away in the cute little matching bag that clips in the pocket
Makes it perfect for travel !
How to wear it?
I love the idea of mixing unexpected pieces together, something utilitarian with a fashion piece.
This jacket is a match made in heaven with my slouchy pleather olive pants.
Then for a little fashion edge and to break up the monotone I’ve tossed on an orange knit around my waist. It’s all the colour you need !
Tip: white shoes add a third colour and lighten the look
For a more casual lewk the quilted jacket is also perfect with these Align leggins ( with pockets!) and track zip top.
Hint: for extra warmth I’ve layered it over this Nulu long sleeve tee ( incredibly soft and super warm !)
BTW these are the MOST comfortable running shoe/sneakers known to mankind (OMG soo incredibly spongy !) and you’re ready to head outdoors for any kind of activity.
