Steal her style! Jeans + Blazer = Chic .

Surely you know what I am going to say here!
A blazer and jeans : classics right ? That you can wear forever.
Wrong!
Nothing is timeless.
You can’t keep wearing everything for years on end ( though if pull out 20 years later it might be ok).
Everything has a use by date.
That’s of course if you want to look chic, modern and effortless.
Hint: you do!
Let’s talk jeans for a second.
Those Levi’s 501? You would not have been seen dead in those straight jeans when skinny jeans were at their peak. When fashion editors say they have been wearing things for years. They have. Because they bought at the beginning of the trend. So I have been wearing straight jeans now and talking about them on The FiFi Report since 2014. No, they haven’t gone out and come back again. See here. I have been wearing them since then ( ditched the skinny jeans a long time ag0)( I may not ever wear again : they hurt !).  Here’s the thing: fashion actually moves slowly. Which is why when you buy at the beginning of the trend ( at least not at the end) ( don’t worry: I’ll tell you when to buy) you will get years of wear. Mileage from your wardrobe. And that’s the point non? Great cost per wear. Be a conscious consumer. Wear and rewear your wardrobe.
Which brings me to this fabulous outfit.
It’s an easy, low key look. Because it’s updated classics.
Jeans : Now baggy and long. Rip or no rip. Relaxed and easy. The light denim is summery and works here with white.
Blazer: now long and oversized. Big shoulders. It should over the bum. It should cover the front even when undone.
( who wears a blazer done up?)( if you try on a blazer make sure it sits right across the ‘situation’. If you can’t even do it up then say goodbye).
I’d layer this blazer over a white tank or tee. Something you can tuck in. Default to white not black.
Add a chic black clutch and black strappy sandals.
Because when you update to a chic updated blazer in WHITE you can keep wearing your black bag clutch and heels.
Done !

Tip: The best news about updated classics is that when you put them on they do all the hard work for you. NO need to add silly accessories to fix and joosh them. You just put the blazer and jeans on. They look fab. Off you go.

Now you can steal her style !
