Summer dressing? Here is your check list #fifiapproved.

Everyone has been asking for a summer edit of my picks for the warm weather.
It’s been a busy week so this is my summer checklist (with a few tweaks) from my hot holiday travel wardrobe post from a few months ago.
A few additions but my philosophy is to build a wardrobe so this is not about suddenly buying a totally new wardrobe now the weather is warm.

You know the drill: Stick to chic FiFi approved colours.
No surprises there ! It means more versatility and more mileage from your wardrobe.
It’s always about neutrals with white and touches of black, blue and tan.
Update all your classics into new modern shapes.
You will look chic. Get dressed with your eyes closed.
In five minutes flat…

Here’s your checklist !
Wide leg white pants: Core piece. Wear to beach. Out the dinner. Slouchy is key.
Wide leg beige chinos: Wear on plane with a knit. Wear out to dinner. Sight seeing.
White oversized shirt: Toss over your white tank like a jacket.Or tucked into your jeans.
Blue shirt: might be stripe. Adds colour. Loves white. Adores tan. In love with denim.
Statement tee top or here For relaxed going out this is good. When you want to look more polished.
white tank: Goes with everything. Under a shirt. With chinos. skirts. Under a dress.
A shoulder pad tee: or here It’s chicer than a plain tee and looks cool. Or this one . Wear every day.
Black tank Ditto. Pivotal to your wardrobe. Cut away is most flattering cut.
A strapless bustier top: So chic but casual for going out with chinos or jeans , linen pants
A waistcoat Gives coverage of a blazer without arms ! Chic. Cool. Polished (as a set with pants)
Shorts : Make them knee length. They were on every runway in Fashion week for next summer. Buy now. Wear now. With heels or flats. With a tank. With a blazer.
A long midi skirt: For every day . Easy and looks chic with flats. Buy in white, navy and black. Oh ok brown too!

A one shoulder beach dress: Throw it on from beach to bar. This is chic too. Best with flats.
Some black beach pants:  Wide leg, drawstring or cargo is good too. With a swimsuit and white shirt.
A denim skirt: Handy with tops instead of a dress. Maxi is good. A line.
A white casual maxi dress: Wear every day when it’s hot.
A black shift dress: Wear every day when it’s hot. With flats. For going out this is good too like this.
A neutral knit: wear on plane over white tee. Over a dress. ( Or white denim jacket)
Or white cotton shirt dress . It’s a toss it over swimsuit kind of thing.
A stripe strapless beach dress :  It’s blue. It’s easy ! It’s the only print I like.
White denim culottes : Not shorts or jeans but nearly ! To wear instead of short shorts. Just sayin.

Oh and if you need a blazer to throw over your shoulders ( Not at the beach but at bar!) this is great and here.

Accessories.
Cross body bag : or love this one. With a zip. In tan. To wear every day. Out shopping.
A cute small clutch for night or day is chic, Love this in these 3 colors.
A big tote in canvas or a straw tote: So chic. Wear with everything. Summer dressing 101.

Sneakers: Of course. Go for white and neutrals. Bensimon are great. Easy.
Chunky sandals : Love them in tan or black. Birks are fab.
Silver sandals are fabulous. They will instantly joosh black,white and neutrals.  A must buy.
Sunglasses: Brown, neutrals or white. Aviators and catseyes.
A bucket hat: this is a fab reversible hat .
