If you’re new here let me introduce you to the secret to effortless style.
And if you are a regular FiFi follower let me remind you:
Classics date.
Yes, all those pieces in your wardrobe: jeans, T shirt, navy blazer, trench, little black dress and black pants, they all have a use by date.
You can’t wear them forever.
That’s because the shape and cut change.
The length, the shoulder, the arms hole, the length, the waist and the collar. Everything changes.
Which is why when you put on that old classic tight blazer ( that someone said was “ timeless”) and skinny “classic” jeans you feel wrong. Something you can’t put your finger on. But these are my classics you cry ! Why do I feel daggy?
It must be because I am.. too fat, too thin, too old, too young, too short, too tall ..I have heard it all.

The good news : it’s not you.
It’s the dated clothes that don’t look modern any more.
How wonderful that it’s easy to fix.
There is a solution.
Update. Update. Update.
Sometimes it takes time for your eye to adjust ( I had to encourage so many women into skinny jeans for all the same reasons) but suddenly when you update your blazer to oversized, your jeans to straight or baggy, your tee to slouchy, it all becomes clear. You feel great. You look modern. Best for your age.

Here’s the best thing: When to update to modern shapes there is no need to joosh, no need to add silly accessories or bright kooky colours, mad scarves or beads. These new cool jeans, T shirt and blazer look great. You just put them. They instantly look great. Walk out the door. The clothes do all the hard work for you.

Styling tips:
Go for a blazer that’s long: it could have sharp shoulder, be single or double breasted. Just needs to be roomy.
Your jeans should be baggy or wide leg. Could be straight leg. Sit higher.
Tuck in your slouchy tee ( and then pull it and fluff it out a little so it’s not too neat).
Shoes: round toe or pointy flats look great with wide leg jeans in a lighter colour: so white or metallic (or these Chanel denim would be nice!)
You want a slouchy bag, it might be black, white or tan .
Because shoes and bags don’t need to match.
A belt? It’s optional unless your jeans are going fall down ! Haha.

Now you can steal her style !
