Transitional dressing? Easy. #StealherStyle

What to wear?
This time of year can be tricky .
It’s still warm but I am so ready to start wearing winter clothes.
Hello slouchy cardigan !
Perfect for Autumn days with summer pants and sandals.
All loyal FiFi followers know I am not a fan of cardigans: they’re frumpy and not easy to style. Never do anyone any favours ( not even Michelle Obama!)
BUT.
As you may have noticed last winter the cardigan is baaaack on the horizon.
In a new modern shape.
Which means there is a new way to wear it. New proportions to play with.
You want it slouchy (of course) with a V neck and it needs to be short.
That means it can be worn with high waist pants and jeans.
It’s about creating a waist ( you may not have but will !) where the cardigan and pants meet.
Love this look on  Steps of style where she has undone a few buttons for added nonchalance.
Of course I won’t be doing that. Or showing any skin!
The solution?
I’ll be layering the cardigan over a white neat tank for added coverage.
Next pull on white slouchy pants (or white jeans or chinos). Make them long.
Grab chunky white sandals – Obsessed with this new canvas fabric Birkenstocks.
The flat shoes look modern and balance out the wide legs of the pants.
Oh and they’re comfortable. Add socks if you’re cold. Not joking it’s a thing.
A brown bag works here : it will tone in but it does not need to match.
Can be a clutch or just a shoulder bag.
Easy.
Now you can steal here style!
