Khaki: How to wear it, why you need it #Luxetoless

By  |  2 Comments

A little khaki. Cargo. Utilitarian.
Call it what you like, you might even call it green !
Need it now.
Because khaki is as versatile as camel.
Because khaki isn’t a colour although it desperately wants to be. This is good.
It’s not same old same old classic neutrals or boring black.
But it’s not a kooky colour either, that’s too hard to style.

I know some readers think that camel or neutrals don’t suit them.
Khaki is for you who want to add some colour (!) to their wardrobe.
Use it as a third colour to break up black and white.
Watch as you add a soupcon of khaki /green to your wardrobe ( might be a shoe or bag or sweater on your shoulders) and voila !
Suddenly you look interesting and stylish and fashionable. Phew.
It’s the best way to reinvigorate your wardrobe from season’s past and give it a bit of life and vitality ! And don’t we all need that right now?

The trick ?

Wear it tone on tone. Layer on layer. Head to toe.
Toss a khaki quilted jacket or trench over your classic neutrals or white.
By the way Mango has the best selection of trench coats HERE
(I want this one that has removable sleeves and becomes a vest !)
Or when in doubt?
Add white to khaki.
These two are having a little love affair.
Grab white heels or white loafers or cream boots.
White sneakers are great too but you knew that.
