I’ve been on the hunt for the best FiFi Finds this season under $200.
Who said you had to spend a fortune to look chic?
The trick is to stick to ‘expensive colours’.
We are talking black, grey, brown, white, taupe, cream and navy.
Add in all sorts of tones of taupes, beiges and blues.
These pieces will look expensive even if they’re not.
Hot pink? Bright green? Purple? Red?
Never look expensive unless they are…
Because isn’t the aim of getting dressed about looking chic and effortless?
Oh and best for your age!
(And if you love hot pink and it makes you happy then go forth and live your best life !)(but you won’t find it here unless it’s Bottega Veneta)

Your shopping list:
A check coat: It will add a bit of vava voom to your outfit. Go for a grey check , perfect if you don’t want to do camel and browns. More exciting than black but is just as versatile.
A camel coat: Go for a big size, like XL in the more affordable brands like Uniqlo, it will look more expensive. If the cut is neater then go for double breasted , but if it’s already oversized then single breasted is fine. The aim is to cross over the muffin situation !
Leather pants: Go for a slouchy loose look. Tight and pleather? Can be muttony. No thank you. Go for brown or black. You can wear into spring with a white tee and mules.
A blouse: Don’t be afraid to wear a pretty blouse with pleather. Think about contrasting fabrics. About a mix of soft and hard. Tough and pretty. (That’s life at the moment isn’t it?!) Go for big sleeves and a ruffle or two won’t hurt anyone. These blouses also love being tucked into denim jeans.
Knits: You want slouchy, with a looseness so it skims over the bits. Look for big sleeves and camels, creams and beige. More flattering next to the face than black.
White wide leg jeans: You need them in winter. You will love them in summer. They look great with neutrals. They are the most versatile thing in your wardrobe. They love both sneakers and heels. yes, please.
Sneakers: You want sporty if they’re black. Or plain and chunky like these at Trenery.
Boots: I prefer knee high boots like these , they can slip under your wide leg jeans and they are the only thing to wear with a skirt. These suede ankle boots are great from Tony Bianco , just arrived instore… finally! Good size heel, good toe, good colour. And they are higher up the ankle so meet your wide crop pants without showing any skin. You don’t want that.
Mules: They’re a comin’ back for summer. Again. I’ve been banging on about mules for years now. They’re peaking this summer. Go for tan, white or black. I’ll be wearing mine in this Sydney winter.
Tan Bag: You need one. They break up the black, add joosh and brighten up your world. Read more here why you do …and shop the best right here on The FiFi Report.
