Lace up brogues: Luxe to less. #Neednow

I know your shoe problem!
I hear it time and again from my personal shopping clients.
What to wear in winter when you want to look edgy and chic ?
What to wear when you want to be comfortable?
What to wear when you realize boring ankle boots have had their day.
When you know that ballet flats don’t cut it, sneakers are too casual weekendy and loafers too straight.
And you’re scared of combat boots...
Answer to all problems: lace up brogues!
Why?
They balance out the oversized silhouette which needs a heavier shoe.
Versatile, they are great with pants, jeans AND skirts.
Make sure they are in taupe or whites.
More fashiony , lightens the look,  softer and feminine.
A neutral shoe will work with black and navy but also with your over flowing wardrobe of neutrals (!).
(Black brogues can be too school marm – unless you are Christy Turlington – and just not sexy. Yikes).
Hint: Make sure your pants are shorter and your skirts are long and flared.
Or try them under long slouchy pants.
NB: Love the look of Stella McCartney from 6 years ago ( bottom right) in an oversized blazer with slouchy track pants and her fabulous brogues.
She started the trend and it’s still so right now. #Fashionmovesslowly.
