FiFi Philosophy: never decide what you’re going to FiFi Philosophy: never decide what you’re going to wear without first putting on shoes. You are not going out in barefeet ! So why try on an outfit like that ? When I take clients shopping I insist they put on shoes with every single look … Shoes instantly add a fashion edge , make statement about your style. An easy way to a third colour, give you some height and finish your look. They make or break any outfit . What shoes to buy this season ? Last summer the thong sandal was the shoe I reached for again & again. They’re the perfect mix of casual and chic. You get the glamour of a heel but the thong style gives it a casual vibe. Soooo this season I decided to invest in a quality pair of mules that could take the repeated wear! Thought I’d share all the pieces I’ve loved wearin Thought I’d share all the pieces I’ve loved wearing this season. I’ve trying to take more photos as I run out the door so you get an idea of what I really wear every day ! 
These are pieces that have incredible cost per wear. I’ve worn on repeat ! You can see the items I tend to throw on again & again. Because they spark joy and I feel good in them.
and they work hard because they’re so versatile.
 The FiFi philosophy? build a wardrobe. Think about what you buy so you get mileage from the pieces you love. Make sure everything works together in a constant colour theme - think browns, khaki, denim and grey with dashes of white & camel. 
I make a point of never recommending anything that is a one season wonder.
The cool weather is still with us and these are pieces (I can promise ) you will wear right into spring. Then pull out next winter. All great investments.

It’s that time of year. Is it winter or spring? Th It’s that time of year. Is it winter or spring? The weather can be all over the place, one day you need a coat , the next a T shirt and blazer. SO what to buy now and wear now ? I want chic elevated basics which are fashiony enough to inject a little cool into my current wardrobe. I want pieces that are good value with great cost per wear. I want pieces that will slide easily into my winter wardrobe but also take me through to summer ( and beyond). I want pieces to spark a little joy ! And I bet you do too ! Talk about easy, low key chic ! They’re two pieces from @lululemonausnz that have slipped effortlessly into my current wardrobe. The pants : They’re actually called “ a relaxed jogger” & though good for yoga - but I say why not wear with heels & a favourite camel blazer! Designed with a nifty foldover waistband ( so damn comfortable & stretchy!) the pants are buttery-soft with a relaxed fit and the all important balloon leg. Easy to throw on for every day when a blazer might feel too dressy but you still want a jacket , when you still want to look polished & a little farshun !  A short sleeve knit ( it’s a T shirt!) is so damn versatile. 
It works under a coat, a blazer or a jacket.
Best of all when it gets warmer ( or when you do; haha) it looks great on its own.

You want to look chic, professional & office appropriate. You want to feel great, look great, feel modern.

Or am I just trying to convince myself it’s a bit warmer ?! whatever the weather it’s nice to have a change in wardrobe. And these colours feel fresh & new ! Do you remember this bomber jacket @theiconicau ? Decided it was just the thing to toss over my new orange tank which I nabbed this month @lululemonausnz . Pulled on my favorite white barrel jeans @zara as I’m loving this pop of colour back with camel and white. It works don’t you think ?! Adding a pop of red or orange is a simple way to joosh up your neutrals without - you know - going nuts with full on colour haha , just a little soupçon is enough for me ! Styling tips: * Add white shoes - these white woven low heel mules @theiconicau tie back with the jeans & lighten the look. * Think three colours : camel, orange & white. Why ? Two colours can be too matchy match & more than three ? It’s way too hard to think that through! And I don’t have the time to style too many colours 😂 *don’t be afraid to mix slouchy jeans with a baggy jacket. Throw out those old ideas about proportions: what’s cool now ( if you didn’t know !) is anything oversized. Nothing is too tight & that silhouette feels modern & relaxed. Everything dates: you can’t keep wearing pieces forever. They have a use by date. That’s if you want to be chic, effortless & cool. (Hint: you do!) Take this leather jacket @minima_esenciales @theiconicau It’s updated into an oversized modern shape in a patent shiny fabric , very cool ! And the rich burgundy brown colour feels new. Totally versatile it works with so many pieces in my wardrobe from a chocolate pencil skirt , blue denim jeans , dark denim & slouchy brown pants. Styling tips : Layer the same tones on top of the body : so a red burgundy knit tank @minima_esenciales under a brown burgundy jacket. Then choose whatever bottom you feel like. An oversized & unstructured jacket looks great with something narrow like a pencil skirt but don’t be afraid to mix up proportions and try it with barrel jeans & slouchy pants. In terms of shoes: I’ve styled the bomber jacket back with brown knee high boots plus burgundy kitten heels (I forgot I had !) with jeans just to tie it all together. Try layering an orange tank under a camel fleece lined jacket with white slouchy pants all @lululemonausnz Or swap out the white pants for brown leggins & sneakers for a more casual sporty look . Where would I wear this ? In Sydney (or Noosa !) when it’s chilly in the morning but then warms up in the day. When would I wear this ? When I want add a pop of colour to my neutrals. Black ! It’s always chic. And with so much brown Black ! It’s always chic. And with so much brown & camel around suddenly it feels cool again. And so easy ! The trick ? Update to new modern shapes. A high collar bomber jacket, leather midi skirt & barrel jeans. (You can’t just pull out any old black piece and think it’s right : Mais non ! Black can date so quickly ) Any black piece you buy this season needs to be in exaggerated , modern shape to make a statement (because you sure ain’t getting the fashion edge from the colour 😜) Also look for black with texture ! shine ! embellishment ! Something exciting happening: leather, satin or sequins. Head to toe all black works so well especially when there is something leather like this A line skirt with a sharp shoulder bomber jacket.
