Which we all need right now now don’t you think? Considering what’s happening in the world fashion might be frivolous but we all need to spark a little joy into our every day right?

What: a brown structured blazer.
Why: Love the big shoulders , nipped waist, a little oversized. Great colour and lighter fabric. Good for spring.
Wear : When in doubt? Default to all white under anything ! Layer the blazer over a white tee ( this one is great) white balloon pants ( see below), with straight jeans, leather shorts. Add heels and the casual but soo chic brown woven tote.

What: The blouson/bomber camel shirt.
Why: Because it’s like a blouse but with structure of a bomber. Good coverage of the situation ! Great sleeves. Chic colour, pretty fabric. It has pockets ! And an elastic hem so you can wear done up and high or undone like a jacket.
Wear : with dark denim jeans, balloon ( old lululemon ) pants but I will also wear with leather bermuda shorts, with white jeans and baggy chinos. Add brown or black mules and a chic clutch or shoulder bag .

What: a check blazer
Why: because it’s in a light fabric, great for spring. The texture and check make it more interesting that ye olde worlde blazer. Oversized but good shoulders. Relaxed shape. Means it’s versatile you can wear out and about on weekends and don’t feel too “dressed”. The neutrals and brown check goes with everything you own. Yes, even red jeans !
Wear: Over this fabulous white tee, with red jeans, with bermuda shorts. Also with blue jeans of course. With white jeans and those balloon pants. Any camel chinos. With these khaki pants. Layer over a lace cami and it’s good to go.

What : white barrel cotton pants .
Why: Because white pants are de rigueur for summer. Cool barrel shape, lovely cotton ( wrinkles and that’s fine – like me!) . Elastic waist. WearRoll up and wear them long. Good for casual summer.
Wear: with any blazer and Tee of course. With a white tee, red sandals ( similar here ) and straw basket. With a black tank and bucket bag.

What: red barrel jeans .
Why: Because they feel fresh, new and it’s a bit of colour. (Don’t go overboard !) Great cut, not too voluminous. Right length on me. Comfortable. Great for a summer holiday but also great for the city with heels and a blazer.
Wear : with a check blazer , with a pretty frill white shirt or just with a white tee. Add red sandals and a brown tote.

What: A slouchy cotton knit.
Why: because it’s a light summery knit. Great cut , the length is right to wear hanging out or for a sneaky front tuck without bulk. The sleeves are major and the shoulders dropped and look relaxed. The colour is chic. Perfect for chill summer night when a big knit is too heavy and a sweatshirt too casual.
Wear: with the best khaki cotton drawstring pants, with bermuda shorts and with slouchy pants. I’ll wear with white jeans and my white denim culottes. With a cotton cargo skirt ( this is great ).More skirts and dresses next week!Where: Shop it here
