The wardrobe essentials to take me right through to spring …and into next winter?
A chic short sleeve grey knit and a pair of fabulous knee high black boots.
Both sale so I had to nab them as soon as I spied them , thank you Netaporter
Let’s talk about the grey knit:
As you know I have been talking about short sleeve knits ALOT this season.
That’s because a knit with short sleeves is so damn versatile !
It works under a coat, a blazer or a jacket.
Best of all when it gets warmer ( or you do; haha) it looks great on its own.
Love this round neckline , T shirt style and that the sleeves are down to the elbow for more coverage.
It’s a great length too as it can hang out or you can easily tuck it in .
HINT: I actually put in some shoulders pads in the knit , they add structure, a little fashion edge too.
Styling tips:
Let the knit hang over your skirt and belt it in.
Loving grey with chocolate brown right now but grey also looks fabulous with white jeans and black pleather.
Layer a grey jacket over the grey knit and change out the bottoms to another colour.
OR match the brown coat to brown pants.
Add white shoes to break up the dark colours.
The neat cut of the tee means it’s easily layered under a statement oversized pleather jacket .

Let’s talk about the black suede knee high boots:
I realized I did not own a pair of black knee high boots : WHAAATT!
Saw these on sale and knew they would slide right into my wardrobe.
Love the low kitten ( read walkable !) heel and the pointy blunt toe.
Suede adds another texture and makes the black subtle and matte: this is good.
Styling tip:
If you have a lot of black skirts or pants black boots work well extending the look.
Love the idea of boots with culottes : it’s a new silhouette and feels fresh.
Or try the boots under wide leg pants or jeans. It will work.
