Classics you buy once and wear forever right?
Wrong !
The thing with any classics – from a little black dress to jeans and T shirt – is that they date.
Yes, They all have a use by date. You can’t keep wearing them.
That’s if you want to look modern, chic and effortless ( You do!)
And if you’ve been following me for a while then you know what I am talking about !

That’s because fashion changes and classics do too.
After 8 to 10 years you’ll see that the armhole, the length, the lapel, the cut of the silhouette, the waist and shoulders… everything changes!
And that my friends is why you struggle getting dressed.
You put on all your old dated classics and wonder why you look average instead of effortless.

So here’s what you need right now:
A long over sized slouchy trench , double breasted is good. Beige or camel is best.
A white shirt that’s roomy with a great pointed collar and big cuffs.
Black pants that are high waist and baggy. They can be wide leg or balloon.
Add chic ballet flats round toe or pointy.
And of course a black shoulder bag and belt that works back with the flats and pants.
The good news ?
When you update the classics they instantly look fabulous. You can put them on and you’re out the door . No bloody fluffing around trying to joosh with bad accessories ( it never works!)

Remember if you invest early in the trend and the new silhouette change you can get years of wear.
