The thing is : you don’t want to have a wardrobe full of multiple colours . That just makes life difficult.
Who wants to spend hours in the morning getting dressed trying to work out what colour goes with what?

The trick is to stick to colours that love each other.

Colours that naturally adore hanging out together without complication.

I’m talking expensive colours like navy, camel, white, brown and khaki.

Today let’s concentrate on all the shades of blue.
Blue looks great worn head to toe, layered up in all different shades.
It’s a fabulous alternative to black, softer and looks just as chic but a little more flattering next to your face.
Plus it’s a sneaky way to add ” colour” ( all the colour you’ll ever see here!) to all your camel and beige
Best thing? Navy will always want to kiss denim.
This is good. Watch as denim will add edge to anything navy , dress it down so it’s not too straight.
You don’t to look like you’re wearing a school uniform. or work for an airline. Unless you do. haha
Blue is best friends with camel and brown. White is a match made in heaven.
Note that blue is a big trend on the runways at fashion week.
Meaning?
This a trend that is just starting : invest now for seasons of wear.
Remember blue is a colour that is 24 hour colour: work to weekend, day to evening.
That means getting mileage from your wardrobe.
What’s not to love about that?

Styling tricks:

• I’d go for navy in the clothing and then add brighter blues in accessories like sneakers and bags.
• Remember if you want to look modern and effortless ( Hint: you do!) then you need to update into new shapes. That means wide leg jeans, and a fabulous slouchy navy blazer, a blue dress that is LONG and stripe and an oversized light blue shirt or a top that has drama like this or major puff sleeves.
• If you are doing head to toe blue make sure you bring in different tones from light to dark. A navy blazer with lighter wash jeans, a stripe with denim pants, a navy vest over white.
• Go for exaggerated strong shapes, that’s what makes it cool…like an oversized blazer, a long pleat skirt, high waist pants or a shirt with big sleeves ( love this !)
• Look for interesting textures in navy or blue like sequins, lace or suede sneakers.
• You want to use accessories to bring an edge or bring in brighter blue : that means a navy bag with brass logo,  sneakers with a touch of blue or try a navy shoulder bag with some white in it.
