It’s my trans-seasonal Autumn uniform.
And it should be yours too.

The secret?

Update ! Update ! Update!
Classics never last. They date. Soz.
So suddenly you’re in big trouble just trying to get dressed.
That’s because it looks wrong. And you struggle.

But you don’t know why. You’re wearing classics right?

For a start your old jacket and jeans are now probably all too tight: Not because you have put on weight (!) because that was actually the cut about 8 years ago.
(Hello ! After all that time you’ve got your wear out of them).
It might that the blazer is too short, jeans too tight and skinny and your white t shirt just too scary and skimpy.

So what do you try to do?

You try to trick up your old classics with accessories….
A belt, a scarf, a floral shirt ( god forbid).
Wrong !

The solution to an instant wardrobe update: invest in new shape jeans.

High waist. Straight leg. In a light wash.
Watch as everything else falls into place.
Suddenly your T shirt looks good tucked into the high waist.
Then invest in a blazer that’s long and a little slouchy.
Maybe single breasted or double breasted.
Just make sure your blazer sits right across and covers ‘the situation’

Styling Tip:
Buy a check blazer in a black, brown and white.
It will then work back with everything own.
Versatile with a capital V.
You can then toss it with brown mules and any brown/tan bag.
Or any black. And all your blue denim.

The aim of the day is to get mileage from your wardrobe.
