Let’s concentrate on all the shades of blue 💙
A fabulous alternative to black, just as chic but softer.
it’s a sneaky way to add ” colour” to all your brown & camel Especially if you can’t do red or orange. I get it !

Styling tricks:

* if you want to look modern and effortless ( Hint: you do!) update blue into new shapes. barrel leg jeans, a short blue shirt, slouchy navy blazer, a blue dress that is LONG and stripe, a top that has major sleeves.

* Wear neutrals /camel then add brighter blues like a knit around your waist , a blue tee or try a blue shirt with white jeans , brown pants , a camel jacket

* A bright blue shirt looks great worn undone & open over a white tank with camel pants.

* layer up different tones of blue from light to dark. A navy blazer with lighter wash jeans, a stripe shirt with denim pants, a navy jacket over white.

* Go for exaggerated strong shapes, that’s what makes it cool…like an oversized blazer, baggy jeans, high waist balloon pants or a shirt with big sleeves.

* use accessories to bring an edge or bring in brighter blue : that means a navy bag, a stripe bag, sneakers with a touch of blue , a major designer belt or try a cool bucket hat.

* Navy needs an edge so it doesn’t look like a uniform or too jaunty so mix back with brown, baggy denim, oversized blazer or cool shoes.

* The FiFi Fashion secret in life? If in doubt always add white. ( like shoes, jeans and T shirts) and you can’t go wrong.

So many ways to wear it : which is what we want from our new season wardrobe right ? Pieces that slot effortlessly straight into our current wardrobe . Easy dressing.

Great for spring and perfect for cool summer evenings the knit is a clever mix of 70% cotton 30% wool : it’s a slouchy cut , love the drop shoulder & the rolled hem, and the length hits just right so you can wear it hanging out or do a little front tuck.

1. Wearing cargoes @zara and Aeyde heels @netaporter
2. White jeans @assemblylabel
3. Khaki pants @dissh
4. Shorts @uniqloau
5. Pants @lululemonausnz

I’ll post links in stories as always everything is on #shopwithfifi @ltkaustralia #gifted #fififavfinds

How gorgeous is this Dragon Diffusion bag @netaporter ?! I absolutely love it .

Totally chic but it’s also relaxed & casual .
Roomy - toss everything in - but never heavy.
It’s luxurious woven leather but it’s actually practical & so light.
Minimalist design , it’s the texture of the leather that
adds a fashion edge .

It’s the bag of summer !
Totally versatile ( always take that into consideration when investing in a designer piece) the rich chocolate brown will work with so many pieces in my wardrobe.

Love it with everything from a brown pencil skirt to dark denim jeans, a camel blazer or white denim & a slouchy trench.

It subtly elevates an outfit without grabbing attention trying to be an obvious star of the show …if that is called quiet luxury then I’m here for it 😜

The best thing ? It will get better with age!

I’ll add links to stories & you can shop it all #shopwithfifi @ltk.australia #ltkaustralia #ad #paidpartner

A FiFi philosophy: Update the classics. Quite oft

A FiFi philosophy: Update the classics.

Quite often the classics that are the first things to date.
They never last forever. Sorry to break the news !
Your trench. Blazer. Jeans. White tee. Little black dress and white shirt - all these wardrobe staples need updating.

The cut, the arm hole, the length, the lapel, neckline, and the shoulder they ALL change over the years.
Suddenly they can look dated.
(Yes, even a Chanel jacket & a Burberry trench will date!).

That’s why when you put them on you FEEL daggy.
You look in the mirror. You know something is wrong but can’t put your finger on it . These are classics right ? They last : So what can it be?

You try to joosh up your wardrobe with frumpy florals, pesky prints, kooky colours, silly scarves & beads & belts & silly shit like that - WRONG!
Dated, old fashioned, never versatile. Or chic.

And you fluff around , wasting time & money every morning trying to work out what to wear.

The solution?

Build a wardrobe of pieces you love: Update the classics !

Which means investing in wardrobe staples but UPDATED into new, modern shapes in classic versatile colours.
Remember the fashion edge can actually come from dramatic shapes NOT crazy colors or frumpy florals 😎.

And when you Invest early in the trends ( new shapes!) you get years of wear.

That’s the secret to effortless dressing.
You’ll buy fewer better things.
And get dressed in 5 minutes flat: with your eyes closed !
Because when you update to modern shapes ; there’s no jooshing or fluffing around with accessories, the modern styles do all the talking: put them on , put the door. Done !

It’s FIFi approved : a philosophy that works.
I should know , I practice what I preach 😎

You know what’s funny ? I keep forgetting to post

You know what’s funny ?
I keep forgetting to post on Instagram , here on the grid.

Oopsies !

I post stories , I write The FiFi Report , I’m constantly shopping, looking online & a million other things living my life.

Then a week goes by and I’ve completely forgotten to post !

I’ve got lots of outfits to share with you so it’s time I got a bit more organized and started posting here on a regular basis. Please forgive me 😜🙏( hope the algorithm does !) .

So to start off I thought you’d like to see a few different ways I’ve been wearing my favorite dark denim Neuw barrel jeans.
They’re the best cut & frankly just a bit jooshier than blue jeans. You can see they’re so versatile.

Did you nab a pair yet??

Now the weather is warmer I’ve pulled out a T Shirt - it’s @lululemonausnz - I’ve added shoulder pads to make it a bit edgier - but the jeans work with all sorts of jackets .

From blazers to bombers to leather & my fav trench.
Because believe it or not I believe in repeating outfits and rewearing my clothes again & again .
Hope this gives you some ideas on styling & getting mileage from your wardrobe.

wearing:
size 30 @neuwdenim jeans @theiconicau
Size L in the tee @lululemonausnz ( it’s big go down a size)

As always everything is linked over @ltk.australia #shopwithfifi and in stories ! #fififavfinds

FiFi Philosophy: never decide what you’re going to

FiFi Philosophy: never decide what you’re going to wear without first putting on shoes.
You are not going out in barefeet !
So why try on an outfit like that ?
When I take clients shopping I insist they put on shoes with every single look …

Shoes instantly add a fashion edge , make statement about your style. An easy way to a third colour, give you some height and finish your look.

They make or break any outfit .

What shoes to buy this season ?
Last summer the thong sandal was the shoe I reached for again & again.
They’re the perfect mix of casual and chic.
You get the glamour of a heel but the thong style gives it a casual vibe.

Soooo this season I decided to invest in a quality pair of mules that could take the repeated wear!

Love these Aeyde mules @netaporter
Great colour ✔️
So comfortable ✔️
the perfect heel , shape & height ✔️
Beautiful leather ✔️

Most importantly these shoes slip seamlessly into my collection of fabulous accessories all from @netaporter :
a YSL belt, Loewe sunglasses, Demellier bag and YSL clutch. One big happy family of gorgeous accessories I wear almost every single day.

Remember quality accessories are worth investing in as they have incredible cost per wear: summer to winter, desk to dinner , work to weekend, all year round …whatever the weather !

I’ll add links to stories or head over shop all my picks from @netaporter #shopwithfifi @ltk.australia #ad #partner #netaporter #ltkaustralia

Thought I’d share all the pieces I’ve loved wearin

Thought I’d share all the pieces I’ve loved wearing this season.
I’ve trying to take more photos as I run out the door so you get an idea of what I really wear every day !

These are pieces that have incredible cost per wear.
I’ve worn on repeat !
You can see the items I tend to throw on again & again.
Because they spark joy and I feel good in them.
and they work hard because they’re so versatile.

The FiFi philosophy? build a wardrobe.
Think about what you buy so you get mileage from the pieces you love.
Make sure everything works together in a constant colour theme - think browns, khaki, denim and grey with dashes of white & camel.

I make a point of never recommending anything that is a one season wonder.
The cool weather is still with us and these are pieces (I can promise ) you will wear right into spring.
Then pull out next winter. All great investments.
Oh and the good news is that some are on sale !
( I quite often buy winter pieces now when on sale to wear next winter.)

Let me know which one resonates with you !

Some pieces are not longer available but I have linked similar on The FiFi Report ! Hit the link in the bio or head to FiFi.com.au to read more and shop all my picks #shopwithfifi #fififavfinds

It’s that time of year.
Is it winter or spring?
The weather can be all over the place, one day you need a coat , the next a T shirt and blazer.
SO what to buy now and wear now ?

I want chic elevated basics which are fashiony enough to inject a little cool into my current wardrobe.

I want pieces that are good value with great cost per wear.

I want pieces that will slide easily into my winter wardrobe but also take me through to summer ( and beyond).

I want pieces to spark a little joy ! And I bet you do too !

Head to fifi.com.au - link in bio - for 10+ fabulous FiFi finds , elevated basics and all (almost !) under $200…

You’re welcome!

Can you guess which pieces I’ve nabbed this month from @lululemonausnz ?

These fabulous brown balloon style pants & the cool elevated neutral T shirt. Talk about easy, low key chic !

They’re two pieces from @lululemonausnz that have slipped effortlessly into my current wardrobe.

The pants :
They’re actually called “ a relaxed jogger” & though good for yoga - but I say why not wear with heels & a favourite camel blazer!

Designed with a nifty foldover waistband ( so damn comfortable & stretchy!) the pants are buttery-soft with a relaxed fit and the all important balloon leg.

I’ll add link to stories & everything is available to shop on #shopwithfifi @ltk.australia

This dolman sleeve top @lululemonausnz is the elevated tee I’ve been looking for ! In lightweight soft stretchy fabric the loose fluttery dolman sleeves take it to the next level. A great length you can tuck in with a side tuck or wear hanging loose .
Oh and it’s machine washable !

Also nabbed this fabulous camel jacket @lululemonausnz and I’ve layered it over the brown scuba hoodie with matching leggins.

You need this scuba oversized hoodie @lululemonausnz ! What’s to love ?

* An exaggerated fit that is extra roomy.
* Hand pockets, a hidden card sleeve
* Thumbholes: love that on chilly mornings
* Elastic zipper pull doubles as an emergency hair tie—so thoughtful!
* Two-way metal zipper

I’ll add link to stories & everything @lululemonausnz is available to shop on #shopwithfifi @ltk.australia #ad #partner #lululemonanz #ltkaustralia

I’m wearing a size large in the jacket & hoodie so go down a size if you want a more streamlined look.
