These wardrobe basics are on my wishlist for summer !
These are the elevated but low key pieces you need now the weather is heating up.
You’ll buy these staples to wear everyday to go back with the more trend fashiony items like a lace trim tank.

White denim Bermudas
So I know I keep saying that I will cut off my oldwhite jeans and wear them as shorts  Then I saw these at HM.The cut is just right. Neat across the hips,ba really good length and the leg bit not too wide but roomy. Go up a size bigger. Love Bermuda shorts for summer especially with heels, and yes even with a leather jacket. White denim is so great because it’s so versatile where blue denim might be more casual, white denim just looks a little bit chicer.

A white shirt
The white shirt was it all over the runways at this last fashion week /month. It’s going to be a huge trend. But a white shirt is already pivotal to your wardrobe. I’ve never been a huge fan of cotton shirts because they can look quite dishevelled especially when I wear them. Haha The trick is to invest in a white shirt with an exaggerated shape like this one from COS . I love the sleeves. I love the way it hangs. I like that it doesn’t have a collar. You can wear it just hanging out and it will look good. Hint: go down a size as it’s big. Try it over capri pants  :when you don’t want to wear baggy bermudas or tight leggings . Speaking of white shirts this is fabulous for day to evening and this is great for casual weekends with high waist pants.

The updated T shirt
I LIVE in white tee shirts ( if you have a noticed!) I wear them under blazers and knit,  by themselves. A shoulder pad tee or a white tank you name it it’s what I reach for all the time. Why? Because white next to the face takes 10 years off.  Apparently and I’m sticking to it. Scientific test approved it.  LOLs. Now I’ve been on the lookout for a different style tee.  This is great as it shows enough of your shoulder without revealing too much of your arms and it just looks cool. No one can wear a boring white tight T-shirt except models. Something different like this will skim but not cling.
This is similar at Dissh . Need a shoulder pad tee? Of course you do ! This is a great cut and the quality will take repeat wears. Get in every colour. Oh and this twist neck Tee is fab too.

An orange Tee shirt:
Speaking of elevated basics : You could also get a tee in a colour: don’t die of shock! But orange is the new black or red or something like that. Hehe.  It’s nice just to use colour as an accent. I’m not saying build a wardrobe of bright colours yeee gads noooo ! But a little touch is great . The trick with wearing a bright colour ? Wear itwith white! Or camel or beige ( avoid with black: too hard and too wintery too) Plain is good or it might have a twist like this

A denim tie front shirt
If I am not wearing a white Tee I am always looking for good tops , especially to go with denim. Love a tie front denim a shirt, they have been around a few seasons now but still feel sooo right. Wear this with baggy jeans of course but also I’d wear this shirt with white shorts,  with chinos,  white denim jeans, or black leather shorts . And this shirt will take you rightthrough to next year under a camel trench. It’s on sale even better!

A white or camel skirt;
This summer is about the full skirt, and you want a longer midi length. It might even have an elastic waist. It’s easy, comfortable and a skirt like this is going to work hard in your wardrobe. That’s because it can be worn so many different ways. With a tee or a sequin top. It’s a great alternative to a dress. Don’t stress about all the volume: go two sizes bigger so it sits lower and doesn’t cut into your “ situation”. Wear with flats or with strappy low key heels. With a white tee. This skirt is great too in khaki and this wrap one is fabulous too.

Denim drawstring pants:
Not jeans but just as easy. Not track pants either: just low key dark blue denim pants to pull on so you’re comfortable but still look cool. You will wear with a slouchy tee . Or with a white shirt hanging out. With brown flats or white birks. My advice for you is to go up a size so they sit lower. And don’t dig in..

cotton Chinos
I have so many beige /camel cotton pants – but maybe you might not ? I am a huge believer in the power of a cotton chinos. No jeans but just as casual. Not black pants but just versatile. These are great. On sale too. Side pockets. Wide leg. Great colour. Elastic back. Cotton. Great with kitten heel mules and a one shoulder top / blazer for going out but also just perfect for summer casual days with birks and a tank .These are great too , also on sale. Go up a size so they sit lower.

A fabulous white bag
A White bag is what you need for summer . And it will definitely be great into next season. It might be a chic a structured tote, a cross body or a raffia tote. A bucket bag / slouchy tote is chic too. Whatever suits your budget or lifestyle.

A brown Heel thongs/slides:
Spied these at Jo Mercer : Love the brown colour, the low heel and the cute hardware. They are so easy to wear and the choc brown will work with everything I own. Funny about that ! Also I have my eye on these at Tony Bianco : same same but different , because I love the black ones so I NEED brown !

A black /red strappy heel:
Always on the lookout for a walkable heel and these look great in red or black ! But if you want something less expensive these are great : I like the crossover strap around the ankle. It’s a little bit leg lengthening rather than cutting off your ankle. They look really comfortable. I like black heels with black pants if I’m not wearing white shoes, they’re just handy. These arereally good  too.
