Which is why I nabbed this fabulous Isabel Marant silver top from netaporter.
It’s on sale and I could not resist.
It’s very dramatic with those huge shoulders and the glamorous shimmery fabric but the shape is really actually just a relaxed simple tee shirt. When you have rich full on fabrics you don’t need frills, flounces or anything too tricky in the design. Keep it simple so there is only one element that is getting all the attention.
The trick with any sparkly statement top :
Dress it down with casual low key pants : we are talking jeans, cotton chinos or slouchy pants.
Think contrasts. It’s the DNA of effortless chic: tough with pretty, casual and dressy, with soft and hard.

So I decided to style the silver top with grey and also with white jeans .
Go for a baggy style jean and then add heels and a clutch. Easy !
