Khaki: Call it what you like, you might even call it green !
The thing is khaki is just as versatile as camel.
You could almost call it a neutral. You could almost call it a colour. This is good.
Meaning ?
It is not same old same old classic neutrals and it’s not boring black.
But it’s NOT a kooky colour either that is way too hard to style.

I know some readers think that neutrals don’t suit them.
( what?! Who ARE you !!)( You will come around haha)
Khaki is for you:
It’s the alternative to camel. And it is also for those who want to add some colour but not COLOUR to their wardrobe.
It’s a handy little shade that will work wonders in your wardrobe.
Use it as a third colour to break up black and white.
Wear it with white. Add it to camel and brown.
Watch the miracle as you add a soupcon of khaki to your wardrobe ( might be a shoe or bag or even just sweater on your shoulders) and voila ! Suddenly you look interesting and stylish and fashionable. Phew.
It’s the best way to reinvigorate your summer wardrobe and give it a bit of life and a fashion edge!

How to style it?

Wear it tone on tone. Layer on layer. Head to toe.
A khaki shirt with khaki shorts , a khaki tee with a cargo skirt.
But in my opinion the best way to wear it?
Add white to khaki !
These two colours are having a little love affair.
Try a khaki skirt with a white tee.
Pull on white jeans with a khaki cotton shirt.
Khaki Birks with a white maxi dress.
A khaki crop jacket over a white tee and denim skirt.
Grab white heels or white loafers (White sneakers are great too but you know that.) maybe a white bag or belt and instantly Khaki looks summery and cool. It’s easy when you think about it.
Of course it goes without saying that tan and choc brown love khaki : Yes; you just doubled your outfits!

Love this runway review of the trend from Vogue UK
“ Tonal dressing continued to be a dominant styling move across the autumn/winter 2024 runways, and at Burberry, Ferragamo, Gucci and Bottega Veneta we saw a rich, earthy shade of khaki green worn head-to-toe. Khaki might be associated with utility jackets and cargo pants, however this autumn it’s more elevated and polished than military-wear – we saw pea coats, silk dresses and sheer separates in olive, moss and deep khaki hues. In Pantone’s colour trend  “Iguana” is as a leading hue. Minimalists, this one is for you.” Thanks and totally agree.

It’s the FiFi philosophy : Invest early in a trend and get years of wear.
