This week it has to be denim.
It is perfect in every way.
Trans-seasonal. Ageless. Casual. Cool.
Just the thing you want throw on in cold/warm/chilly spring weather.
When you don’t want get too dressed up ? Denim does the trick.
I decided to hunt down all sorts of pieces in denim from jeans, to shirts, dresses to jackets and shoes and bags..
I think any denim is great but I am primarily sticking to a mix of blue denim.
But usually when you click on an Item it will also be available in black as well as white denim. Bien sur.
These are all pieces you will love to easily mix in with your own wardrobe to add a little edge.
So much denim so little time !
* Remember that’s the way to joosh up your wardrobe: update the basics instead of rushing out and buying crazy colours and frumpy florals. Buy better, fewer pieces.
The big styling trick?
Although denim with denim is a cool look and works back with black , blue denim is actually more in love than ever with white, camel and tan. Of course ! Note to self: That’s how I will be wearing denim.

A denim jacket:
Sure you can go for the classic denim jacket (check out the LTK pages!) in an oversized 80’s style or a more fitted look that is like a crop Chanel jacket. Looks great over a white Tee and with leather pants (my current uniform). Or with chinos and camel pants. A shacket is the way to go. You can wear it undone over a white tank with a skirt or jeans. Love a denim bomber jacket too. That’s what I will buy I think. The short cut looks great and gives good waist !
A denim shirt :
I will be wearing a denim shirt – I have an old oversized denim shirt . You can do the double denim with jeans, or try with chinos. It’s best to tuck it into Hugh waist jeans. Love it with a trench or under double denim under a tan suede coat like this. If you want to wear it as a shacket then just buy a more structured denim shirt in a bigger size.
A straight denim skirt:
Much prefer a denim skirt without a front split. It’s much chicer. A denim pencil skirt should also go in at the knees ( that weird boxy look is not right). Wear with a white sweater now or later when it’s warm with a white shirt/denim shirt and white mules.
wide leg jeans:
So you have straight , loose jeans but do you have side pocket wide legs jean? sThey are just a little more sophisticated and chicer than your average jeans. You need them. They’re what you want to wear with a pretty blouse going out for dinner with strappy sandals or mules.
Barrel jeans:
They’re the newest shape and I love them. I have been wearing that style for a while and now it’s official ! Love them for summer as they are shorter: a bit of ankle is so fresh and so right. You can show off your white mules and pointy flats.
A slouchy jean:
It could be pleat front jeans. It could be straight low and baggy. Go big or go home. So comfortable and so cool. Instant wardrobe updaters yo can keep wearing your tight blazer because when you toss on slouchy jeans everything gets new lease on life. !
Low rise skinny jeans:
I must discuss as I know they were on the runway at Miu MIu last season. Yes, they will come back one day. And in a different way. In the mean time ignore that as I know the low skinny jean is years away from being the new normal. If you do want to do skinny under a huge blazer then it will look right. But it IS so hard to pull as quite often you look like you are still wearing it from the first time. Not a good look. And feel free to show your midriff . I won’t be. I don’t want scare any babies and small animals Lols.
Denim shorts:
Not really fifi approved if they are short shorts lols. Anyway not for me ! But I do love the denim culottes and long baggy bermudas. SO cool. Great with heels. Fabulous for the beach. Best idea? Just cut off your old jeans to knee length. Done! I think I may do that with my old white jeans !
