Denim, a touch of navy & a dollop of camel. Yes, please! #luxetoless
Is there anything chicer than denim with camel.
Especially when it’s going into Autumn.
it’s a match made in heaven !
The default setting for getting dressed on the weekends?
Denim and denim. And camel.
And then a bit more denim.
We love jeans but also look out for denim in new shapes: A puff sleeve denim shirt, a denim dress, a snappy denim boiler suit. A chic denim flirty skirt, a cool denim shacket or a fabulous denim trench.
All these pieces add casual cool and an edge to your wardrobe.
FiFi rule numero uno?
Update, update, update.
Especially in the jeans department.
Goodbye and au revoir to skinny low rise jeans.
(Apologies to regular FiFi Report readers as I have been yelling this at you for the last 8 0r 9 years. LOLs) (That’s 5 years of wear already of straight leg you bought way back when)( You’re welcome.)
Say hello and kiss on both cheeks to the new shape jeans.
And I’ll tell you why:
Because if you update your jeans into high waist, wide leg or baggy suddenly your old tops, saggy sweaters & tight ish blazers lurking in your closet look good.
You tuck the tops into the high waist. The proportions change.
Instantly your old tops look good. Instantly your old blazer looks modern with baggy jeans.
You get more wear from you wardrobe. This is the aim non?
HERE’S THE CHECKLIST OF WHAT JEANS YOU NEED IN YOUR WARDROBE:
- High rise straight in a light colour ..like these straight jeans at Everlane
- High rise wide leg jeans like these like these
- High rise slouchy leg jeans with a side pocket like these
- Love the new cargo jeans here from HM.
- For a dressier look for when you are going out you should invest in the dark denim as they look a bit chicer than faded blue jeans.
STYLING TIPS:
- Finding the right jeans is like finding a husband: haha you have to try alot on to find the right fit!
- Whatever your shape there are jeans out there to suit you.
- The trick to styling : add navy and white in the clothing.
- Love double denim : it looks great with camel.
- Stick to a blue theme like a stripey knit.
- Most importantly break up the denim with dollops of tan and white. It’s a match made in heaven.
- You want a tan bag, tan belt, tan heels, multi colour sneakers, white boots or even gold heels. All or any of them. Just something to lighten the denim.
