Wearing black actually looks best in summer.
That’s because you have bare arms and legs to freshen it up.
I actually wear more black in summer than winter for that reason.
The trick ?
Make sure you’ve updated the black pieces into new modern shapes that make a statement.

I’m wearing it here over a white tee ( but can wear with nothing under it) with black pleather shorts and these fabulous black mules also from The Outnet. ( shop it all below); Love the little ( walkable!) kitten heel and the simple look of two fine straps across the front. (A more covered in black shoe could look too heavy in summer).

Styling tips:
* When you’re wearing a monotone look try a bag in another colour like this one in brown. ( shop below!)
* It breaks up the black & white and the chain strap is like another piece of jewelry : FYI the bag also comes with a leather strap so you can swap them out depending on where you’re going .
* Remember to look for black that has texture ( like pleather!), shine or embellishment.
* In strong modern shapes (like a vest with shoulder pads and shorts ).
* A white tee always lightens the lewk.
* Don’t worry about matching bags & shoes.
