Thinking about your summer wardrobe?
Everybody keep calm !
Here’s three recent outfits from my instagram to give you ideas to get you started.

Let’s talk about the foundation pieces of your summer wardrobe.
You need a white puff sleeve top:
Why?
Because white next to your face takes years off.
Because puff sleeves create drama on top. (And covers muffin arms lols)
Because the round neck sits so well under a blazer.
But it’s also a statement top: it can stand on its own ( where as a flimsy white tee looks just that: floppy)( too clingy)( a bit non).

You need beige wide leg chinos :
Why ?
Because they are not jeans. But just as casual.
Because they are not black pants but just as chic.
Because they sit up high: this new proportion looks new, modern, relaxed.
Because the wide leg works just as well with chunky flats or high mules.
Because these pants love a white puff sleeve tee as much as a sparkly top.
Because that means they’re versatile: work hard in your wardrobe.
Reach for them again & again.

Here’s what I’ve been living in:

Black pleather pants from Zara. So flattering. So comfortable. Adds a modern edge. Casual to dressy. No ironing.
Brown sweater from Arket. Perfect slouchy cut. Great neckline . 100% wool. in white here.
Blue shirt from Irving Powell. The best tone of blue. Big cuffs. 100% cotton. Great cut.
Beige Trench from H&M  Double breasted. Slouchy. Long. Great for every day in spring as it’s unstructured. Casual. Love this trench too.
Brown trench : It’s from about 2 years ago in the men’s department of Uniqlo. Similar here
Blue grey sneakers from Zara: Most comfortable sneakers ever ! The grey /blue/white means they work with everything. Similar here
Tan sandals here and APC bag  Because you need a brown/tan bag and shoes for summer.
White Jeans from Zara: wide leg, high waist, stretchy and flattering They’re the best !

My answer :
You don’t need a dress. You need pants and a glam top.
Or a major trouser suit.
In white ! Like this fabulous number from St Agni .

It’s low key chic !
Dressed up, effortless, understated yet still glamorous.
(Quite often more flattering than a dress, a sharp blazer can do wonders!)
Two versatile pieces for the price of one. You can mix and match.
Toss the blazer with jeans or leather pants. And the pants with a sequin top or blouse.
This is about getting mileage from your wardrobe. Great cost per wear.

Seriously tailored with the sharp shoulders, amazing cuffs on sleeves and a longer modern cut. And can we talk about the pants ?
Love a dramatic flare ! They make statement. This is good.
And they balance out the asymmetrical blazer.
Note: I’ve left the hem long (let’s hope it doesn’t rain ). But definitely get them taken up so there’s no issue of a dirty hem.

Styling tips:
I might wear with a cami ( or nothing) under the blazer in warmer weather but right now a simple white tee does the trick !.
