My wardrobe picks: What I love wearing right now!
I was thinking about what to post this week.
I am not so interested in buying any more summer clothes.
And it’s too early for winter.
(Although it s a good time to invest in winter pieces on sale : more on that next week).
I am always asked what I am wearing so I have decided to share the pieces I am absolutely living in right now.
These are things I have been loving.
Versatile, flattering, and they work really hard in my wardrobe.
Note: No aging , tricky to wear florals and bright tacky colours here!

These are the pieces you should have in your wardrobe.
They spark JOY every day!
These are pieces to invest in.
The pieces to take you through to winter and into next summer…
Here’s your list of wardrobe must haves:
A little black dress: make it long and loose. Layer a white t shirt under it if you want arm coverage.Wear with with flat sandals. mules or strappy black heels. For the beach/weekends I live in this black Bassike dress.
A tan bag: I invested in this fabulous chic tan bag by APC bag and love it. It’s affordable and low key & will work in summer or winter. The white stitching works with my white shoes ! It’s a versatile casual shape so you can toss it on jeans or chic summer neutrals. A tan bag changes everything. Currently drooling over this Acne.
White wide pants or jeans: Living in these, flattering cut, tuck in your top and you get muffin situation coverage. Invest in wide leg, white jeans. Why? They work with both heels or flats. Best news: Wear straight into winter with a grey coat , a blazer or knits.
Strappy black heel: Bought the ones from Zara, they’re so fabulous. Drooling over The Row. Thin strappy sandals are a huge trend for next summer. Invest in black and white. Buy now for seasons of wear.
A white Tank. Found this fab white tank cotton tank in Uniqlo, great for wearing tucked into high waist skirts and pants. Under a blazer. I bought size large for more looseness. Invest in black too for $14! Also been living in the white Bassike long sleeve Tee , at the beach, on holidays and weekends. Love the tail hanging out. Plus the cotton is so light.
Tan chinos: You need these. Been living in a couple of pairs: wide and cropped, long and slouchy. Love with a white or black tee. Prefer with white flats or heels. Will wear into Autumn with check blazer, white tee.
The Check blazer. I confess I hesitated over this last year but once I bought it can’t stop wearing it. Just sits on my shoulders for casual summer dinner. Jooshes up everything. Mine is from from Zara, bought in a large. they key is to find a shape that is slouchy so on weekends you are not too dressed up and structured. Ditto invest in a neutral or white blazer. Will take you straight into next season.
A dramatic white shirt. I bought a white Bassike shirt with huge sleeves and cuffs. Love it ! It’s a statement pieces not a boring non de la non white shirt. It’s great in summer as it stands on its own. Great with so many things: from jeans to chinos, white jeans or my Zara black leather skirt. And also invest in taupe/neutral knee length skirt. Handy for when you want a skirt but not a dress. Love it with a white shirt/tee and white mules.
Flat leather toe slides: I have these in black or also in white ( from Trenery a couple of years ago). That’s all I wear on weekends. Apart from sneakers. Love these with the wide slouchy pants.
White mules: Love them, so comfortable, they joosh up everything! I’m always wearing them as you can see ofrm the pics in my instagram@shopwithfifi. The mule shape is casual so you never look too dressed up but you get the all important heel height. I will wear right into winter, with everything ( that’s what I love about them!)
