Four things you need …In Country Road. #bestbuys.

It’s a new season and all sorts of Autumn/winter pieces are coming into store.
This week: four things I’ve found …in Country Road.

The navy pleat skirt:
As you may have seen on the @shopwithfifi Instagram I have been going on about a pleat skirt  since 2015 ! That’s the thing with fashion, it actually moves slowly. If you pick the trend when first instructed here on The FiFi Report (!) you will get seasons of wear. It’s sustainable fashion. The pleat skirt is still going strong. Let’s say it’s plateaued on the groove ritcher scale. What’s great is that you can wear right now with a tank/ tee and sneakers. In winter you must wear it with a big long slouchy navy sweater. Buy a size bigger as it will sit over the hips in a more flattering way, and make it longer. NB: Don’t wear with the navy trench it will look like coffee tea or me flight attendant !

The black sock boots:
This is a good one to take you through to winter. Good walkable heel, chic toe, high up on the ankle so it’s flattering when you wear with a long skirt. NB: don’t wear your jeans tucked into these boots. Just saying. Make sure you have cropped jeans that stop at the top of the boot or wide pants.

The stripe blue shirt:
This is another trend that I’ve been telling you to buy since 2014 . You may already have 5 of them like me in your wardrobe but it’s always good to update. This shirt has a good cut , it’s not as oversized as some. Good for a layering piece. Tuck into high waist denim jeans and white pants. Wear with black leather pants or a flirty black leather skirt. It will look great tucked into taupe chinos. tip: Don’t wear this shirt with navy pleat skirt and navy trench unless you want to take people’s tickets or sort out their insurance. Yikes #uniform. Freshen it up with white shoes and blue denim and turn up the cuffs.

The navy trench: Obsessed with trench coats. Love it in every colour. Navy is great because it’s not black but it looks great with black. Wear it with white and light bue denim and any shade of blue. Plus it loves tan and brown. Plus this trench is light weight so it’s a great trans-seasonal piece and very unstructured. Which makes it casual and so easy to wear. How do I know? Because I bought the original navy Theory trench a couple of years ago and I love it. Go for a size bigger.
