What to look for:
Make sure it’s long . We’re talking over the knee and going right to ankle.
It should be slouchy and roomy.
Belted or double breasted is the best.
Why?
Because when you wear it undone it still sits across the front and covering the ‘situation’. I call that flattering.
Love navy, black or camel. All expensive colours that are versatile with a capital V.
The check coat is chic but don’t spend too much ( Marks and Spencer hello!).
Fashion tip: stick to the same colour on top of the body.
So black with black , cream with cream, navy and navy.
