Sock boots.
Yep, that’s what they are; ankle boots that cling like socks.
Originally seen a couple of seasons ago at Balenciaga they are now zooming up the groove richter scale ready to toss on for winter.
You see I did a little investigation in anticipation of the cold weather. All became clear as I did a little wardrobe style up on myself: I need these boots !
Exactly the thing to joosh up my frayed jeans, long pleat skirt , leather skirts and baggy pants. Everything from last season.
Why?
Shoes are everything.
Especially as you get older. They add the little bit of edge so you don’t end up in dagsville !
You want a pointy toe.
You want a kitten heel but a block heel is definitely still right.
You want them in black although some of you will love red.
You want them preferably longer, up to mid shin. That’s so you can wear them with your long skirts.
FiFi Fashion Tip:
Pumps only work with pants and jeans. Don’t wear with skirts it just looks wrong. Instead pull on edgy ankle boots, sock boots, long boots all perfect with dresses and skirts.

PS. If you can’t do the whole pointy thing then a slight round toe is OK. #phew.
