The long taupe trench: it has to be very long. Double breasted. voluminous…from Country Road.
The stripe shirt: Collarless. Long, loose. Perfect for this transeasonal weather. Layer it . from theoutnet.
The straight leg jeans: You have crop flares – still so right -but you also need straight leg in this faded wash. Cut them off and fray them. This is an order. From Alexander Wang.
Pointy sling back heels: easy to walk in , chic and perfect with jeans or pants because they sex them up. (Not worn with skirts please. Too corporate/bankteller.). Tip: these shoes will look great with stirrup pants (!)... from Zara.
Grey slouch sweater: This is perfect to wear on its own without a coat, the sleeve detail makes it a statement sweater. Wear with everything you own… from Needsupply.
The long skirt: it’s all about a long skirt, make it in grey so it breaks up the black. I love it worn with head to toe grey. Perfect with any boots…from Camilla Marc.
Grey block heel ankle boots: If you are scared of white boots ( ha, of course you are !) then go for a boot in grey ( or metallic) as it will lighten the look..from Gian Vito Rossi.
A big fat oversized tote bag: You need this big bag in black patent. Perfect for every day it will joosh up everything in your wardrobe… Balenciaga on sale at Net a porter.
The grey peacoat: Love a peacoat. Grey is versatile. Double breasted means you can wear it undone and still hide the ‘situation’. Love with jeans, chinos or a long skirt…from Trenery.
The cream poloneck sweater: Perfect for winter weekends. It’s gorgeous from Joseph.
The wide leg chino: You’ve got the narrow chinos so grab some wide leg high waist pants from J crew because they look great with sneakers and a sweater. #Mixupfabrics.
White sneakers: Yes, of course your old ones are dirty and looking shabby. Love no laces and slip on. This is the white shoe when you’re not having a white shoe from Tony Bianco.
The grey poloneck sweater: You have the Uniqlo men’s round neck sweater in every colour , it’s your winter T shirt. Time to grab a mens knit in a poloneck. Make it big and slouchy hanging long over a skirt..from Uniqlo.
The pleat skirt: Still going strong so grab one in a shiny black from Witchery. Wear with long sweaters and boots: knee length or ankle boots. Instant wardrobe updater.
The shoulder bag: Go for black for versatility, make sure it has a long shoulder strap, and spend as much as you can : it’s cost per wear ..from Loewe at SAKS.
The pointy toe ankle boots: The pointy toe boot is very fashion at the moment. It’s sexy and it’s sharp. Love a velvet ankle boot because it adds texture with anything black.
NB. Wear with crop jeans but please no tucking jeans into boots. Gawd. The knee length pointy boot is back but the ankle boot works just as well…From Tony Bianco
