Styling trick of the week: Layer it baby!

There are two opposing factions in the fashion this season.
Opulence and minimalism.
oh, guess which one I love?
Minimalism!
Why? Because it’s understated chic.
And in case you are wondering : it’s never boring.

It’s all about new shapes, textures and discreet tailoring.
And layering is the word du jour.
It’s the styling trick of the week.
It’s all about layering a bustier or bra over a shirt or tee.
First seen years ago on Carine Roitfeld, the latest inspiration comes the Balenciaga Resort 13 collection.
Now the trend has hit the streets.
How to wear it?
I am a fan of the longer bustier in knit, leather or cotton.
The bra on its own may be way too tricky to pull off ( and I am not talking by George Clooney).
The best news: It sucks in all that volume out of big shirts and tees.
