Tracking down the ten best buys under $80 ! Whaaat?!
It’s summer.
It’s hot.
It’s time to shop in the cool.
Or stay at home and cruise online in your bikini.
With a gin and tonic. Such as my good self.
The best news ?
The sales are still on.
This week I have spent hours, hours, tracking down the ten best buys under $80 ! Whaaat?! Actually it gets better. Nearly everything is under $50 . Outrageous.
This is Barganza dot com.
I have chosen pieces that you want – and can wear – right now. But all the buys will take through into next season. You’re welcome!
* I have included things where there is availability in a few sizes. Be quick before these pieces leave the building.
These cat’s eye sunglasses ( above) can be scratched , dropped in the sand and get completely wet.
Perfect for the beach .Toss them on and who cares, you will look totes fabulous when you hit la plage.
Keep the Tom Fords pristine, ready when you jet off to Paris. $14 from Cotton on.
You can never be too thin or too rich.
Or have too many stripe tops. Stripes are always right.
But it’s the shape and cut that changes over the years.
Right now it’s all about a big, loose shape.
The silhouette is getting more and more voluminous. Everything is sitting off – and away- from the body.
A tight stripe tee? So wrong, wrong, wrong.
Invest in this Bassike number and wear it right through to winter on sale now $80. Tip: Don’t want to look like a shapeless blob? Wear with skinny jeans or grab this fabulous Sportsgirl pleather wrap skirt. Ok : it’s a little short but great if you have da legs . Bless. $69 from Sportsgirl. This skirt will work with ankle boots or Celine sneakers when it’s chilly or slide into these snazzy very Isabel Marant inspired stud sandals. Love that chunky heel. For you from Wittner $39 . Yes, the number before $40.
The sleeveless vest /jacket is a hot piece for next season.
Perfect for trans-seasonal dressing.
You get the tailoring of a jacket ( giving your post Christmas blobby figure some structure ) yet you won’t die of heat exhaustion.
Wear over nothing, or try a white shirt or a grey tank. Love it over a long a flirty skirt (see below from Country Road.) You need this Seed sleeveless Jacket for another great reason. It is $39. Oh la la.
I’ve been wearing my baggy boyfriend jeans all summer.
I can’t take them off.
Why?
I can breathe. So comfortable. Plus there is something so very laissez faire/laid back chic about baggy jeans that skinny ones just don’t have.
I don’t feel too va va voom as I might with tight jeans AND high heels. My pick for cheap but chic of the week? Faded chambray, , baggy boyfriend jeans from Jeanswest now $27. Yee Gads. French Vogue is more than that. These jeans look light and summery, will adore sexy heels and a stripe Bassike tee but will also adore the sleeveless jacket and these cute animal print flats. Roll up the hem and voila ! Animal print is still here for next season. All the va va voom should be on your footsies. $51 from shopbop.
The cropped biker jacket is still rocking on for next season.
Scientific tests have proved it.
It doesn’t have to be leather.
It could be in denim, tweed or cotton.
Love this Witchery biker jacket because it’s a chic neutral colour , it cuts into your waist (the smallest part of your amazing figure ) and it’s $29. Shut up. Wear over a grey tee with jeans or this fabulous flippy, black drop waist skirt from Country Road. On sale for $52.
A crop jacket ( see the street style shots) loves a high waist flippy long skirt. They meet in the middle. That area sometimes refered to as your waist. Which if you are lucky you might find it February. As I mentioned last week a black longer ,flippy skirt is crucial to the wardrobe : it ‘aint going nowhere next season. But hey, in the cost per wear stakes any of these pieces could be worn once and you’ve nailed it.
By the way I am still hankering after these cream Trenery sandals. Seen previously on The FiFi Report now for you, on sale for $44. A bit of stud -a-licious action on the tootsies never hurt anybody .
TIP: All the pieces on this page love each other. You can mix and match with delight. And abandon. Get dressed with your eyes closed. In five minutes flat. A total wardrobe for $400. Which means you will be able to buy a fabulous designer bag coming in next week’s FiFi Report…
