She is a supermodel in every sense of the word.
Wife, mother, and yoga enthusiast model Christy Turlington is also a tireless charity worker.
In 2010 Turlington founded “Every Mother Counts” (EMC), a campaign to end preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth around the world. She also filmed a documentary No Woman, No Cry, a film about maternal mortality.
Now she is back in front of the camera for US Harpers Bazaar latest issue and modeling for Calvin Klein. “Now I feel like it’s a treat again,” Turlington says about modelling “because I do it so seldom. I can appreciate it in a new way. You know, I’m 44 years old, I’m not 14,” she says in the interview. “I’m healthy, I haven’t done anything to myself, I exercise. But I’m not entirely comfortable with myself in underwear either!”
The cover girl admits she’s not so sure about dabbling with plastic surgery. “I don’t know, I feel like it’s getting freakier,” she explained about going under the knife. “Maybe there will be a time when you’re an oddball because you’re the only one left. I’d rather be the only one, the sole survivor.” Bet she will look amazing.
