Casual weekend dressing can be tricky.
You don’t want to look too jooshy and dressed up but neither do you want to look too daggy. Yee gads No!
My advice?
Always update the everyday basics like jeans and T shirts.
And keep it simple.
Which is why you need a chic french straw basket.
It’s never gone out of fashion – Thank you Jane Birkin – but it suddenly seems so right again. It works in summer where a black bag would seem too heavy and dark and a leather bag with hardware might look too done.
A straw basket is light and airy and in a neutral colour.
Which means it can leave the beach and look chic going straight into town .
Try wearing it with your faded jeans, leather jacket and Gucci slides.
Or toss it on with a white jeans, a cool T shirt and animal print flats.
