“They’re idiots, but I adore them,” says Joanna Lumley on Edina and Patsy.

“Edina’s whole thing is that she just isn’t quite interesting enough, so she wants to be affirmed by being famous or rich or cool. She’s so sorry for herself all the time, and that’s funny.” Jennifer Saunders.

“Patsy makes me laugh more than anything because she’s so unchanging. She just floats through life looking great; nothing happens. She goes over, has a drink, goes out, goes to bed, gets up, does it all over again. It’s like Groundhog Day with her.” Jennifer Saunders

“ nobody gets off the hook! We’re not tilting at anybody. Or if there are barbs that fly out, they stick nowhere. Except maybe to us. We’re the only two truly reprehensible characters in the whole thing.” Joanna Lumley on political correctness in the movie.

“It’s never been about them finding a relationship, or defining themselves by having to have a man. They live life entirely on their own terms as women, and to be honest, men don’t really affect them much. I mean, occasionally they want sex, but who doesn’t? They’re not defined by normality. They create their own normality.” Jennifer Saunders.

“Bring on the Twitterstorm—I’m quite looking forward to it. The thing is, they’re fools. They wouldn’t last a day on Twitter. The only reason Patsy and Eddie get away with what they do is they only look into each other’s eyes. They don’t care what anyone else thinks.” Jennifer Saunders.

“I got to kiss Jon Hamm. Of course, he tried to escape, but I got to him anyway.” Joanna Lumley.

“Patsy had her insides removed. Eating lunch just takes up so much time and makes me tired” Joanna Lumley when asked if she drinks and smokes like Patsy.

“I get depressed if I can’t find my bottle of YSL’s Rive Gauche. It comes with me everywhere.” Joanna Lumley.

“I’d written it and sold the film and then someone said, ‘Have you told Kate?’ And I said, ‘Oh…’ I’d just imagined that she’d say yes. So I was really nervous sending her the script. I got a text back and she said, ‘Love it.’ That’s all you get with Kate: ‘Yeah, love it.’ I said, ‘Oh great, so you’ll do it?’ And she just said, ‘Yeah’.” Jennifer Saunders on asking Kate Moss to be in the movie.

“Look – there’s a new disease called the Kardashians! It’s just sort of spread….” Edina.

“Like herpes. Each one with their own one with their own reality show. They’re multiplying like head lice.” Patsy replies.

“Look at this fat one, very soon she will split like an amoeba and become two Kardashians”. Edina.

“She’s not in them. I’m not going to ask her to be in it” Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley have denied that Kim Kardashian has a secret cameo in their new movie – because they never had any intention of asking her. They both said a firm “no” when asked if she was in it . #lovesit. Read more here at Vanity Fair
