Do you know about Muji?
It’s one of my favourite stores. Ever.
It’s a Japanese brand – founded in 1980 – whose core values are based on simple, unadorned style.
The Japanese name, ‘Mujirushi Ryohin’ means ‘no brand quality goods’.
There are no logos or horrible labels. Or – freak out – bright colours!
We are talking ‘ an unwavering belief mindfulness towards the allure of natural’.
Genuine colours. Natural materials. Unbleached. No-name, minimal packaging
It’s simple basics. At amazing prices. That you need. Every day.
But there are not just clothes.
You will find the perfect plain note book, the best clear bottles, the simplest makeup brushes.
You will love the chic suitcases. Plain canvas totes bags. Clever travel pouches and cardboard storage cases.
I want it all. All 7000 items. LOL.
I would always nick into a Muji store whenever I was overseas.
Now a Sydney store has just opened #woohoo.
(A Muji store opened in Melbourne’s Emporium last year)
You’d best run like a maniac into Muji. Right now.
Best reason?
The navy and white stripe organic cotton Tee dresses are on sale for $39.
I bought two.

MUJI Sydney is located at The Galeries, Level 1, 500 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
There is no online store yet available in Australia.
