item du jour: A grey poloneck sweater.

By  |  2 Comments

What: A grey sweater.
Which: It should be big slouchy and loose. It could have a poloneck, V neck or round neck. It can be in any shades of grey but lighter is nicer.
Why: Because knitwear is a big trend this season. And then into next, next winter. Because it can hide all sorts of muffin magnum situations. Because it’s going to instantly lighten up – and wake up – all your black snoozing pieces hiding in your wardrobe. Why am I am telling you to buy one right now while the weather is warm ish? So that you can get your hands on the best. And pull it out when it gets teeth chattering totes cold later.
Wear: For inspiration check out those chic street style shots (above from Pinterest). Completely simple and totally chic. Try a grey sweater with baggy black pants, ripped blue jeans, or a sohpisticated black leather skirt. Wear it hanging out and loose. Or you can do the half tuck. The idea is to wear it on its own as a statement piece rather than as an underneath thingo to keep you warm. But saying that, it looks cool under a parka or a leather jacket. Add ankle boots, sneakers or heels.
Where: Bassike, ( middle) Banjo & Matilda  from Netaporter, Left,  J Crew, River Island ( right) TIP: Nick into any menswear stores such as Trenery; The cut is always slouchy.

Check out  FiFi’s Favourite Finds at Pinterest. It’s all the knits ( and tons of other snazz a licious goodies) I’ve pounced upon  as I have searched and shopped all day.  And night.
